Is there such a thing as a platinum badge? I think there is a platinum mouse so it would make sense for there to be a platinum badge as well. If there is one, wouldn't Flash have a chance of winning it?

Um, if he won 5 MSLs maybe. He's only got 2 right now.

Wow, What a series. Just finished watching it yesterday, and had a huge banana grin at the end of game 4. (When Zero was trying to hide his smile, and understandingly failed.)

Zero completely dismantled Jaedong. It was completely brutal. I think that Jaedong played too passively throughout the series, with his decision to go 12 hatch far too often; and Zero capitalised on this.

It's a pity that the finals aren't going to be JvF; but then if Flash doesn't win against Hydra, Zero should be the definite favourite to win it.

So happy that this was uploaded to nevake, otherwise I would have missed this. Cheers TL/nevake!

Jaedong didnt prepare and got butchered. I hope he doesnt fall into a slump again. Jaedong thought that Zero would be yet another pushover. The only upside is that this will teach all the highest level players that they are not immune to being slaughtered by a much lesser player.

Jaedong's already learned that lesson an ample amount of times recently. There was no excuse to lose this series like he did...probably one of this most disappointing BoX's ever.

You don't watch ZerO games if you think he's a much lesser player, and you didn't watch the series if you think he lost due to preparation exclusively. ZerO outmicro'd him badly this series and very nearly 3-0d JD. ZerO was behind on BOs several times due to rush distances and other factors and basically beat Jaedong's face in through sheer mechanics and good decisions. The BO advantage was only really a factor in 1 game, rest of the time ZerO was pretty much even on BO results.

Disagree. The only game he was on roughly even footing with Zero was game 2 and 3. Actually, you could make the argument that Zero came back from behind in game 3, but that is the only one, and mostly was lost due to JD's inane decision to separate his mutas from his scourge in his initial attack (still don't know what the hell JD was thinking that game).

Every time you have to pull drones to protect your natural or lose it outright...you can hardly say that's "even on BO results". I do agree that JD got outplayed, however. Would have been interesting to see how things would have turned out if they went mirror builds each game.

I'm still sad inside about this result
"Bisu is just too good." - Jaedong (http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=218995) "Bisu hyung's play is just too good" - Flash (http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=225861)

Just wondering: Is JD slumping, or are other zergs able to ZvZ better? I can never tell, that matchup happens too fast for me T_T.

There is a lot of argument, in my opinion, that JD is slumping. SC players have a remarkable short work lifespan, usually at most a year or two of dominance before they just can't do it anymore and slowly fade away. Some say it's because the human hand-eye coordination can only endure so much. Savior said, before slumping, that his eyesight was getting weaker.

Others blame the alcohol, girls, and fame. Im sure that a progamer on the computer for 14 hours a day will not turn down a one night stand awash with alcohol, even if its before the finals. Savior was lured into this until he crashed and burned due to both physical burnout and the destructive lifestyle of a progamer.

That being said, I have a lot of respect for progamers. To give up studies and a normal life to play a game 14 hours a day is pretty risky, especially since there are hundred of progamers who get only a pittance while only one or two S class players get all the glory. For every Jaedong, there are a hundred people you never hear of who hopes but fails to make it as a superstar.

I think that in Korea, they should limit the time of playing a day to minimum regular time of work. Because right now, its just child labour.

Except all asian sports are like child labor. Asian countries underpay their athletes by a huge amount. The best Sumo wrestler makes much less (400K a year) than a low level NBA player (1M plus), and the average Sumo wrestler makes about the same amount as an average SC player. And this is the most prestigious sport in Japan. And Sumo wrestling is worse on the health due to the requirements of obesity.

Asians, are in general, have a much different value system, and they would rather pay a million bucks on a rinky-dink apartment in central Seoul that they can see and feel rather than $10 to see a sports game.

Well you could say so about any super competitive activity played by very young people.

In my field, music, best players practice easily 7 or 8 hours a day daily at a very very early age, sometimes 8 or 9, and very often great artists are unbalanced people who complain a lot about not having had a childhood.

I would never in a gazillion years accept to be a progamer, even if I could be a super successful one, but the fact they practice so hard is just logical considering how little of them achieve anything at all compared to the number of kids who dream of being the next Flash.
The fellow who is out to burn things up is the counterpart of the fool who thinks he can save the world. The world needs neither to be burned up nor to be saved. The world is, we are. Transients, if we buck it; here to stay if we accept it. ~H.Miller
