I don't get why Grape chose to go with that opening after seeing it fail in the previous set :/ He probably could've done better if he wasn't playing from a disadvantage...

I think Jaedong let him live longer to make the win more overwhelming. It is not like him to not kill his opponents directly when he's got the chance... It was obvious that this macro game was what he was looking for the whole series. And in general recently tbh.

I really don't like the recent PvZ trend of 2 base v 4 base where the P just waits for their army to get sandwiched by lurkerling instead of using their army to secure expansions so they can actually keep up with zerg late game.

From what I remember, bisu is the only player I've seen recently who actually grabs a 3rd instead of suiciding his army, and he's pretty much the best PvZ atm.

I want to say that I am quite relieved that Jaedong mixed in some Lurker-ZvPs again... I always thought that lurker-based play is very solid and not as instable as Muta/Scourge for example.

On the other hand, when you approach the 30minute mark on 7 bases, maybe it's time for some cows and a little less lurkers.

I think the gg came when it came because Grape simply didn't have the proper mindset there, he had lost his confidence, focus and concentration.

Impressive stuff from Grape, definitely a player for the future. JD's multi-tasking was just too much the Khan kid towards the end.

At least Grape made JD earn his trip to the next round.

Solid series out of jaedong, grape put up a pretty damn good fight.

Grape should go to fantasy school to learn proper GG timing. His skills are lacking in that department.

Grape was good, but nothing really impressive. Jaedong played badly: reaction time to storms were off, early pressure was totally ineffective, lots of small mistakes.
