Flash got greedy and didn't get his addons up in time and leta already had seige before he even got a tank out..I honestly don't know what he was thinking.

Perhaps he thought leta's tech would be way behind and so he delayed his addons..

Leta tried to contain Flash when Flash had 2 bases up and running and he couldn't shut the nat down. I think 95% of Flash's timings are based on having 2 bases up. When he doesn't have that, he needs to improvise and sometimes that doesn't work.
