Hydra's probably my least favorite progamer -- he already won an absolutely terrible MSL and now he's doing his best to create a second completely awful MSL. Yeah, he only beat Jaedong, the ZvZ tyrant, in a Bo5. That's not impressive at all. It's not his fault that Bisu, Stork and Flash didn't deliver. Yeah, Flash and Bisu would have probably beaten him, but Hydra was a better player overall that season, because he showed strength in all matchups, whereas Bisu and Flash showed weakness in the mirrors. Hydra was a well-deserved winner. Go, Taek Lee-Ssang group! I don't understand what the problem is. Another ZvZ finals...? What? One of them will be eliminated, but that doesn't stop the others from reaching the finals. Stop whining! Bisu is my favorite player, but I don't complain, even though there's a good chance he will not make it. 2nd place for best-looking was Ruby btw, not ggaemo.

Why would anyone do that? Seems pointless and stupid to put such good players in one group.

I will not watch BW anymore if JD drops ;_; fml... Hydra should've made a baller move and placed great in his own group! Now we have groups like C that look more like Survival group than a Starleague. /end rant At least we'll have kickass games straight from the start.

On the positive side this might be the first time BvJ happens in an individual league in like forever (arena MSL, infact). As a Jaedong fan I'm greatly worried for him. Bisu and Flash seem to have his number and Sea is no slouch vs. Z. Imagining Jaedong in the prelims? wowow Rooting for Light to crush Hydra.

Hydra was a well-deserved winner. I didn't say he didn't deserve to win, and I hate when people shove words in my mouth to the contrary. What I speak of is purely in quality of games. I said the MSL itself sucked, partly because all ZvZ semifinals robbed it of most chance at being interesting. The entire ordeal lacked for great games outside of the Jaedong vs Snow series -- and hey, now that Jaedong's in a group against 2 players who often beat him we're sure to see such quality games!

Chances are, one of the three would've gotten upset in this round or the next anyway. At the beginning of any starleague, all fans have fantasies of Taek-Bang Leessang semifinals which are never realized. Now we're guaranteed at least one game between them all! Also, and correct me if I'm wrong about this, but is it not true that the 1st and 2nd winners of each group end up on opposite sides of the bracket going forward into the ro16? This will nicely set up a finals encounter between the two who do manage to survive. Can't wait.

Since we all know he'll never win a starleague, this could very well be his most memorable individual league achievement. When it reaches Ro8, the matchups are decided by Kespa ranking, doesn't matter which part of the bracket you emerged from.

Fair enough, so for all intents and purposes nothing changes. If two of them do make it to the Ro8, they'll be set up on opposite sides anyway.
