Fantasy was not in a position to do anything after that. Instead he massed queens. Brain Zerg!!!!! If it had worked, you'd be cheering it as a great strategy... Fantasy just played well is all. Except for the many idle SCVs... That's an eyesore...

Terran 2 base = Protoss 3 base Protoss 3 base = Zerg 4 base => Terran 2 base = Zerg 4 base Do maths demonstrate that 2 base Terran is not at a disadvantage vs Zerg 4 base.

Well it's not an analyze but just a thought that Terrans can turtle like no other in SC. Besides Calm played like he was facing Protoss with all those hydras. So in a mind-twisted way it was a TvP ![]()

Calm could have double expanded and get away with it. Dunno about the queens lol. That was a massive investment in gas. Is it only I who thought that Calm was in a very bad spot once he had lost that big attack? Fanta had already killed a couple of drones and Calms third was a mineral only.

I'm not even trying to convince you that 4 base Zerg > 2 base Terran, since the comparison is just as tarded as concluding that Effort can beat Jaedong in ZvZ based on Effort > Flash in the OSL and Flash > Jaedong in the OSL. I'm sorry I can't think of a better example right now but I guess it can somewhat serve as an example of what I am trying to say here. Why are people surprised about 4 base Zerg lost to 2 base Terran ? Terran 2 base = Protoss 3 base Protoss 3 base = Zerg 4 base => Terran 2 base = Zerg 4 base Do maths demonstrate that 2 base Terran is not at a disadvantage vs Zerg 4 base. And post a game where a Terran stays on 2 bases for the whole game and beats a 4 base (fully-saturated) Zerg.

And you can't just look at that; he had a huge window where he could've done anything he wanted to. Fantasy had way to few tanks to be aggresive and push (Calm had a decent amount of Hydras left, just not many enough to go in for an attack), so Calm could've easily droned up and expanded while Fantasy was stuck on his 2 bases. Instead he sat on the bases he had and threw away all his money on queens. A horrible decision and a perfect way to throw away the game.

At least we know that the rivalry isn't over. After all, this went 3-2.

Specifically, with zerg matchups, drone count, hatchery count, and gas count are all important to get the total understanding of the zerg status. Calm's first attack on Fantasy was semi-all-inish. His economy was barely capable of supporting his hatches, and he never tried to make more drones to have extra money for expanding.

But fantasy's harass was pretty good overall to limit Calm's economy, especially his delay of expansions with vultures. Really though, I though Calm really should've done more harass with his mutas in the mid-game. Fantasy's patented Bin-Laden-esque vultures in the game really got him the time needed for his mech to roll.
