Flash is too good, luckily he plays SC instead of being a hitman or something. Crown him the last bonjwa, he's got the titles and the winrate, gg.
Now lets all go play SC2, or chess, or go to school, whatever. I don't want to see the SCBW scene die a slow and painful death. Shut the entire thing down, throw the towels, draw the curtain, it's been good but it's over.

I can only imagine the comments of JD fans if he would have won, best player, evaaaar, because JD won e-sports and bw have reached a new peak! etc. Now that Flash won, it's over, bw is dead, let's all play sc2.

Harrrr! I like JD, I like MJY, but Flash is the last bonjwa, JD has been conquered. They should wrap it up now, take their bows and burn the stage. SC2 being out, I think the sponsors will rethink their SCBW teams, it'll either die bit by bit, or make one big ugly splash of blood and rubble. Better to just say "gg no re".
It's been fun, I'm hoping for a dignified end.

Flash is so freaking good, its like savior... I just want to see him lose. He is the last bjonwa probably, Its a shame for Jaedong T_T
Its just that when you play terran on a level like him you are untouchable.
Well this show us that Savior was really a legend, the only non terran bjonwa.

Flash moving to SC2 would actually revitalize BW. He is just too good. Nobody can compete against Flash, and the rare people that do beat Flash, would be hard-pressed to do it again. He has made BW predictable.
...not that he would ever move to SC2 considering how much he's banking in SC, but if his team/KESPA allowed him to play SC2, he could probably win that in addition to BW. OSL, MSL, Proleague, WCG, and GSL :D

Ech whats with all this doom and gloom "well, sc1 dies now lets play sc2"? Just about every page after Flash won is all "well, bw can die now". Seriously, keep that on the SC2 side of TL.

Amen. I have played this game for so many years, watched so many great pro games. The WCG this year will be the last tourney I'll follow and that will be it.

Does anyone know why they paused in the first game and then went into The Dong's booth? It's strange how they're always doing things like this in the OSL finals, and never in the prior matches. I mean, I understand they're running it in China so maybe everything isn't perfect, but then again given the production value of an OSL finals, you'd think they'd already have everything squared away.
Anyone know why this happened?

he simply said that because Brood War is pretty much on its way out the door because of SC2. It's not a statement fueled by hate, in fact he seemed pretty gracious in his post.

This was still better than the Big File finals, imo. Eh, all the finals from this year have been pretty underwhelming. The NATE finals were probably the best, hilariously. Damn you, power outage.

(For those whose memory isn't as good as MountainDewJunkie's, the 2009 EVER OSL finals were Flash vs Movie. Still, Flash beat Jaedong in the quarterfinals to even get to that point in that starleague.)

Flash is 'bonjwa' cause he can choose the build he wants and ride it to victory, gg congrats... of course hes the best terran player ever but im just not happy with it. Zerg deserves a chance. Even a clever burrow move gets shut down with zero loss, wtf? Terran on 2base is literally unbreakable somehow, i know Flash is excellent at defence but cmon.. if done well you CANNOT break the defence at all. its actually impossible.
Even after building an impossible to break 4 bunkers at nat, you can simply move to main and defend with no problem.. the units are too cost effective.
