A side note: I think your sig needs some updating... You're right. With the JD/Flash rivalry I should remove Flash since it's near impossible to root for both now.
Or you know you could not be a fanboy and enjoy the games and both players for their true merit. If all you care about the result, you're missing out on a lot of good stuff...even if the series was boring and not particularly interesting Flash (map imbalance aside, Flash's build orders were really sick) and Jaedong had some really cool plays especially with his hive tech.

Why complain about TvZ map imbalances when you've got Dreamliner in the OSL
3-10 TvZ. That's 23%... how the hell can TvZ be so damn imba if you can get to a damn 23% lolll

On the up-side, at least Flash fans can't enjoy Flash's games as much as JD fans enjoy JD's, since Zerg is an inherently more interesting race that requires flanking and beautiful orchestration to succeed.
What a bitter, bitter person you must be to say things like that.

Two fairly equal players but maps decided the result. If FS was the ace map, It would've been a better game 5 to watch.

GG Flash, you deserve it !!!
now OSL

Agreed. Flash is too good to lose to any early game shit and his MnM control is too good to die to mutas. With such an imbalanced map pool and that stupid bio --> mech switch a possibility, Jaedong only (and predictable) choice was to prepare risky high econ builds that set him up for a better engame. Flash obviously anticipated this and just won outright with 2 timing pushes the first 2 games. The last game was really close, and I have to feel jaedong would have had a really good shot at taking it if flash wasn't macroing behind the economy of a 14CC.
Btw who the fuck decides which map is used twice? It has to be randomly chosen, right? theres no way any1 would be stupid enough to choose such a shitty map as the ace match when you have fighting spirit, which is near 50%

agreed 100%, as i said earlier i think the map imba really was the deciding factor here. not to say flash isnt a good player; just the opposite. i expected him to win both the first sets, and shit, he won with some fucking crazy timing attacks.. unfortunately I think the maps (especially on oddeye 3) made them a bit better than they were, but im not so sure jaedong would have done much better vs those timing attacks on any other map.
The sad thing is that polaris is quite imbalanced and yet it was the ace map >_< as you said, if FS was the ace map, it would have been much more interesting. Flash may very well have won anyways, but im quite disappointed in the map pools this time around.
Anyways, gg to both players... As much as I hate to say it (as a jaedong fan).. Flash definitely deserves it.

I'd like to use Flash haters' tears as lube

I feel that Jaedong lost in set 5 purely because he tried to stay on lair tech to get around the likely bio -> mech transition that every terran does on Polaris Rhapsody.

Odd-Eye 77.8% winrate tvz = 22.2% winrate zvt.

Mad gay yo =( JD for OSL!!!

The winner had so much advantage in this situation, that anything worse than 3-1 means on equal ground he would have lost. Still, congratulations to him!

If you saw the games that were played there, the skill diffrence in the players is huge.

So many idiots in this thread. I bet you Jaedong wouldn't blame the maps, so you should stop it too.

I'm a Jaedong fan here and you other Jaedong fanboys need to stop bitching at the maps.
Flash was clearly more prepared for this finals than Jaedong.
All the games Flash won were from perfectly executed build orders. Flash was flawless.
Jaedong's grit took it to 5 games. But Flash had the better builds.
