I'm sure Bisu would've used a different build, after it became apparent that KT players were using builds tailored to SKT's players. KT prepared amazingly, but they had some luck with having such a crucial player coming out so early Well it is an advantage of being able to watch your opponent's entire playoff run while showing off nothing of your own. Wonder how exhausted the SKT T1 players are after the nonstop weeks of intense practice for the continual playoff rounds? Nah it's the other way around according to nearly every single coach. There are three reasons emphasized by people who are predicting SKT's victory. The first reason is that KT is at a disadvantage because they haven't played in a match for some time now. Manager Ha comments that "Unlike SK Telecom who has been constantly playing and has kept their game sense alive, I'm certain that KT will have lost a lot of their game sense". Indeed, he believes that KT is innately disadvantaged simply because it's been a long time since they played in a match, while SKT has been sharpening their blades, gaining valuable experience on playing under heavy pressure.

It's definitely an advantage, and I'm sure it was tough for our guys practising so intensely for so long. But it's also their own fault for not qualifying higher - KT earned the right to prepare longer and not reveal their hands.

KT was really really good this time and deserved it overall. I'm happy to be a T1 fan though: despite their so-so season, they still were able to go that far. But our Zerg line apparently failed them once again. Better fix that for next season!

I don't think they were that exhausted tbh.. its just Coach Park was completely outguessed. Like Bisu vs Stats, even though Stats heavily outnumbered Bisu, the battle still ended w/ Stats losing a disproportionate amount of troops, but the economic advantage was just too much. Had Stats not taken such risks, I think he would've lost the game. The players seemed to be in top shape, but they played too "standard"

Hyuk nearly won that game, but Flash held him off with unbelievable defense. If you found that game boring, it's hard to imagine you enjoy Starcraft at all. dude its not the game, its the same playstyle over and over again

So that's 7 games for KT to study. And Bisu did win all the games that he used the dt-first build on, so he probably thought he'd win again if he stuck with it. It's not like the build itself was something stupid; it was just too studied at that time. Edit: 7.

Bisu getting a PvP, Fantasy a TvZ (say whatever you want, he's been really good at it lately), S2 a ZvP and Canata a TvP (statistically his best matchup over the last few months) looked like excellent matchups for T1 overall. Stats PvP, Violet PvT, Flash TvZ are pretty ideal. Hoejja vs Fantasy is an excellent draw for KT because we don't rely on Hoejja's win, as is tempest vs and SKT zerg apparently.

You either harass your opponent, giving you the economic edge, you have better army positioning in fights, which translates somewhat to battle micro, or you can just sit back and macro. Just because a pvp goes into a 3-base macro game does not mean both of the players suck. You want a decisive PvP, go watch 4 gate goon vs one gate expand.
