Excellent matchups for T1.. on paper. KT was able to abuse SKT's predictability and came prepared w/ special builds for the occasion. 1 gate core expo w/ a fast third, would've only worked against Bisu's DT Forge FE. When Fantasy goes bionic, it's either 1-1-1 or 4 rax.. and Hoejja nearly damn won that w/ his smart mass muta/ling mid-game army to crush the 4 rax army. Why s2 went Mutas on a map where Sair/Reaver is a very big possibility, I don't know at all.. but a big early game econ advantage plus a BO win was too much for s2. Hell, even ForGG had something special prepared. His strong FD would've killed Best if he had expanded after 3 Dragoons.. unfortunately I think Best saw the mass of marines before he was attacked so unlucky for ForGG.
I don't know why you say Canata drawing a TvP was good though, he's always terrible at that match up even if he wins. That inbase proxy showed how confident he was to play TvP.

I don't think s2 made a single Muta in his game?
no, but you could tell with the really delayed den and additional hatcheries that he meant to.. until he saw the double stargate. Bad wording on my part.

We get it, now stop spamming and whining like a 10 year old.
KT deserved the win, and Flash was just part of the team this round. Nothing too epic, but the rivalry lives on...
Seriously...one of the most inconsistent and mediocre zergs in the proleague lost to the best terran to ever play the game. Obviously it means mech is gay
Didn't you start the thread about mech transitions and how powerful they were? I think you said something along the lines of "most importantly, how can zergs counter this?"
Seems a weird thing to say after making an OP about it.
I did, but: a) That was a fairly specific strategy I was talking about. Saying mech in general is gay is stupid because mech openings are actually pretty outdated now. b) Starcraft is a complex game and new strats come out all the time. Just because a strat is powerful doesn't mean its gay or unbeatable. Complaining isn't gonna do anything c) Its Hyuk....vs Flash...it proves nothing

Oh, I know, the OP was well written, don't get me wrong. I was just messing around, like "don't go back on your word now!" That type of thing, ya know? Yeah..
Yeaaaa ma boy Flash providing the decisive victory, though i would have hated to be hyuk in that situation; playing the best terran in the world in a decisive match.

Yeah, great job KT. You deserved this win. Violet crushing the useless Canata, Stats picking apart Badsu, Tempest dominating s2, and, of course, Flash being Flash.
Just saw the VODs as I couldnt watch it live. God Im SO HAPPY now!!!
Finally after 8 years we did it! The jinx has been broken!
Game1: I had the FFFFFFUUUUU guys "fuck yeah" expression when Violet scouted Canatas cheese, but was like "WTF are you doing Violet! Dont let Kong jinx us!". That Kong was being awkward and not wanting to dance made me even more worried.
Game2: Stats you sneaky bastard You've done your homework. Epic counter BO with PERFECT TIMING, and perfect followup. Flawless play.
Game3: Well, expected result, but I really thought ForGG would have a better plan for that game. Those positions were great for dropship harass but he refused. The way Best walked him over was sad, but at the same time I felt "well that's what you get, you know how he plays". That his recall defense wasnt as tight as it first seemed made it even worse, as he was focusing so much on it.
Game 4: Well knew it would happen, Tempest being thrown into the fire. While I had low expectations of him I knew hes capable of playing well if he has his nerves under control. I cringed when I saw his corsair control on FPView, but his reaverharass early on did JUST enough damage for the timing attack to kick in before adrenal. Probably the most exciting game. And wtf was S2 thinking when he built two hatcheries at his main while losing it and not even cancling them when they were about to be broken. I think this game was probably what decided the series too. SKT really needed to win this.
Game5: Damn Hoejja you were playing so well. Really heartbreaking game, but impressive by Fantasy nonetheless. Anyway I knew Flash had two games to do it on, and still had a 90 % feeling they'd win.
Game 6: The icing of the cake, and what made the finals perfect, Flash sealing the deal. While it would have been incredible impressive by KT to win without using Flash, not having him play a game wouldnt have felt right, he just had to clutch the win. I wasnt even worried when Hyuk killed his mineral only. Lee Young Ho you're the god.
Now Im gonna get drunk and celebrate KT! FUCK YEAH!!
Thanks to Baezzi and Marcoso you guys are awesome!
