Judgement day is Efforts map, so I dont believe he would have lost

haha now you're just making shit up, Effort's never ZvP'd on judgment day.

Unless I have a terrible memory.

Yeah why do you think teams dont send out protoss vs CJ on Judgement day?

Because Protosses in general have bad PvZ, but Bisu has the best fuckin PvZ in the world and wouldn't have a problem dealing with Effort at all. Why do you think they sent Snow instead of Effort on Fighting Spirit when it was clear that Bisu was gonna be sent out on that map?

1 win against Jaedong and a few wins against scrubs (while losing to Juni) qualifies Bisu for "best PvZ in the world"?

Actually yeah beating Jaedong qualifies you for best PvZ in the world, this isn't a stretch at all.

So Yellow has the best ZvZ in the world? Oh wait he beat Jaedong of course he does!

So are you seriously trying to say that Bisu doesn't have the best PvZ in the world?

You know what I'm honestly wondering where this shitty indignation was in the last ace match where it was HBR, a zerg haven, when SKT has shitty zergs and you have an "S-class" player. Oh that's right SKT1 was capable of fielding someone with a smart build against the expected Ace's weak match up.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaagh the hypocrisy.

NHBR is zerg haven? lol

Yep, unless Flash lied about it being a difficult map for TvZ after he had won on it in an interview.

Flash also says TvZ is his best matchup.

Yep, it is.

I mean unless 3-0ing Jaedong still doesn't matter anymore.

Effort won the osl, he has the guts to play on big stage, he has the zvp streak as well, yet the coach took the rational decision to send out a protoss, knowing almost for sure SKT will pick Bisu. Now Effort just saved face by not being the guy who lost it for CJ

you gotta be kidding me.
Was Darkelf the best player on the team back then?
Was Movie the best player on the team when he was sent to play vs leta?

Being confident in snow does not mean not being confident in effort.
I dont even get how anybody can think he is not a "top notch player". Wtf does he have to do to prove that? Win another individual title against the best player in the world?

And you really think that Starcraft is so black and white and predictable that Effort would lose to bisu no matter what? Hell, even if Snow and Bisu replayed the outcome could be differently. If we replayed every game tonight the outcome could be different.

Seriously I dont get how anyone whos been following starcraft for a while can argue like that.

SKT won fair and square, Bisu was the strongest player tonight. But you seem to be seriously delusional here.

Yea, a lot of what "if"s. I really regret we missed Effort vs Bisu in the ace. Effort's skill is the biggest bubble since the real estates in US. You can yell at me because effort technically hasnt lost to bisu this match, thats the thing

My point is that you cant possibly think that Bisu has a 100% security of beating anyone.
We cant say for sure how much of a favourite Bisu/Effort would have been but I think over 95% of all TL would still agree that the winner wouldnt be decided until the game was actually played out.

And you dont really make any good argument why theres still apparently so much doubt about effort's skill overall. He's 18-1 in ZvZ right now.
Let me repeat that Alvin Greene style: Eighteen to one. After 53 ZvP played he has a win rate of 71.7%
How is there such a huge question mark behind his skill?

Ok, I dont want to spoil the fun, be happy with his stats, they are the shit. SKT are in the next round. We are all good

That's weird that you mention that because you don't seem happy.
If CJ would have won I would have just been happy, be proud of those boys and have a happy day without shittalking SKT's players.

Way to dodge any logical arguments though.

No, Im just saying we got lucky with the maps and we were blessed to win despite the fact EffOrt is like the best player atm and his team's reliable ace. I cant feel happy about that. CJ's depth and EffOrts nydus canal and epic ceremony today stole the show

Jaedong still has the best ZvZ, but PvZ is a different beast entirely and Jaedong has been so unabashedly dominant in that matchup that someone beating him in a game that displayed both their strengths and weaknesses qualifies him for best PvZ in the world. My question is, if Bisu doesn't (or atleast isn't contesting), who is?

cuz like, there's only 2 or 3 protosses around who can PvZ that I've noticed. (If your answer is Stats then we're cool :D)

Ahaha what the fuck those two are so completely unrelated oh my god.

Stats was a rookie in his first best of five and, even being the underdog, played worse than his usual standard against the best in the world. Flash took on the king of Bo5s in a finals and crushed him, it's safe to say if he thinks his TvZ is best then it probably is.

ZvP is the most imbalanced matchup. If you can beat Jaedong, a man who knows what a proper simcity is, knows how to use scourge and mutalisks, knows how to use every single unit properly, in an imbalanced matchup, yeah you are probably one of the best.

Not surprising only two protoss players have managed to do so for a long, long time: Bisu and Stork.

I mean Christ the dude lost a finals series in his best matchup to a complete rookie (Flash) in less than an hour.

CJ's depth and EffOrts nydus canal and epic ceremony today stole the show

lol here we are again with the nice objective arguments. I guess I'm done talking to you.

Anyways I'm happy for the reasonable part of SKT fans, after their Tosses have been slumping for so long it's nice to see them finally doing well to maybe lead this race out of the terrible shape they have been in individual leagues for a while now.
Bisu's slump has turned me from somewhat of an anti fan to someone who subtlely supports him (as long as he doesnt beat CJ or Jaedong T_T)

haha now you're just making shit up, Effort's never ZvP'd on judgment day.

Unless I have a terrible memory.

Yeah why do you think teams dont send out protoss vs CJ on Judgement day?

It matters less than his bo5 stats

Ahaha what the fuck those two are so completely unrelated oh my god.

Stats was a rookie in his first best of five and, even being the underdog, played worse than his usual standard against the best in the world. Flash took on the king of Bo5s in a finals and crushed him, it's safe to say if he thinks his TvZ is best then it probably is.

guess what, so was jaedong (a rookie) and he still won a leauge back then

Holy shit Stats isn't as good as Jaedong it's a world shaking revelation.

Man you go on the most ridiculous tangents. Effort isn't a proven Judgment day ZvP specialist and Bisu beat someone who's better than Effort anyhow on the same map, lay off it. You had your shot when HBR was the ace match in the last set and blew it because your ace loves to zergling rush and fantasy's special builds aren't as vulnerable as Flash's.

You know what I think?
I think Coach Cho expected too much that a SKT Zerg would be sent on game 5 on Grand Line. Hence BByong. Hell it's a SKT Zerg so it would be easy pickin'. And since Iris is 0-2 after 2 days (suffering a humiliating loss against s2 too), so he's not a very good choice.

Ironically I haven't been this disappointed since Fantasy lost to Jaedong in the OSL finals, and now I was just praying for fantasy to lose.
