Guess I don't understand TvZ, or don't understand Fantasy.
effort defiler+lurkers bought him enought time to transition to cows

I thought fantasy played a very solid game, Effort just played better.

Why ? Its a top2-3 terran/zerg encounter. They always provide excellent games. Thats no surprise imo :/
If you consider them incompetent then everybody except jaedong / bisu / flash are baddies.

I don't think effort was ever far behind.
It was close, but he played well throughout.

You don't watch many TvZs involving Effort or fantasy do you...

I don't think you've seen recent Effort ZvTs and Fantasy TvZs. They've been absolutely pathetic.

actually sending a zerg would have been a much better choice
or canata with a timing push, seems like most of effort's 2010 losses were to timing pushes

Guess I don't understand TvZ, or don't understand Fantasy. Hive power. Hive is quite powerful. It just felt like there was a point when Fantasy had not only matched bases, but was able to kick Effort around even under dark swarm because he could afford a pile of firebats + irradiate + d-matrix while Effort didn't have any units.
Maybe I'm too used to Flash bio, and underestimating the power of busting out with ultras.

fantasy screwed this up more than EffOrt won it. He split his forces too thin and couldn't break him when he was at an advantage, then he just threw it away.

i predict a canata vs movie 4th set

I agree, but let's not be too negative - Effort was plaguing like a monster ever since he researched it. Red poison everywhere.

Yes sadly... But it was just as an idea of the concept.
But common... fantasy and effort are still the ace players of their teams. Not so long ago they were carrying their team, and still are, in proleague. Thats a bit over the top to say that these two cant provide good games.

effort's defiler control used to be alot better, this game it was really bad. luckily fantasy had really bad bio control, unnecessarily suicided a ton of units, and didn't bother with drops. he also had large groups of marines without any medics nearby.

Are you kidding? fantasy kept his army intact the entire game, but EffOrt was able to chip away at the edges constantly, then hit multiple places at once with the wonderfully powerful ultra/ling. Also, EffOrt plagued like the rat flea.

EffOrt's ZvT has been pretty bad, but fantasy has simply been beaten twice with that fast vulture build, which, to be fair isn't that bad at all, it's just that he's had to face goddamn Jaedong who reacts perfectly to everything, and Calm who reacted well mysteriously.
But we all know the legend of the tiebreaker says that EffOrt can't lose in either ZvZ or ZvT until he wins the OSL.

Do you guys think T1 could have made this next set easier by sending a fall guy to play against effort so that Fantasy/Bisu could play Movie for the match?
|
Sick play from effort and fantasy, that game was awesome.
