Yeah it's not like he opened the game with an excellent strat to keep Hiya in his base while he outexpands him, coupled with good shuttle micro. And it's not like he didn't break Hiya's pushes 5 times in a row with not only Aaaaamazing Storms (let me guess, you think Jangbi's PvT is bad?) but excellent unit position. The only thing lacking that game was better observer placement (lost too many goons to mines, a problem Violet's had for awhile) and better arbiter micro when engaging big armies (His recalls were both excellent). basically, shut up Violet rules. >:[ | ||

But he still didn't deserve to advance over Nada just like Violet didn't deserve to win this game. | ||

I can't recall if you've ever criticized flash for that (you've done it for everything else), but Hiya was pretty happy to max up 2-1 on 3 bases for 10 minutes. I know you root for Oz but atleast admit when one player plays better than the other. | ||

I think people said pointed out that someone had an unfounded and inaccurate reason for why someone is not a good player. No one said anyone sucks. No one is really offended, they are just at a disagreement. Finally, no one mentioned anything about any kind of reply. I have no idea where this comment came from. | ||

Because Violet doesn't go 1 Base DT+Reavers, 12 Nex --> DT Drop and gimmicky stuff like that literally every single game. In this game he had some moments when he played like shit, but overall he played very smart; Terran turtles, so instead of going for super fail recalls like Movie would've done (because he can't play proper management games) he just mass expanded and got a billion gateways. He had great macro throughout the entire game and pulled off some sexy pushbreaking manouvers with great storms and shit. | ||

You try EMPing arbiters coming from every direction, templars on ground and in shuttles. Otherwise he would have lost his army way sooner. Violet definitely did not play better than Hiya. | ||

The mistakes he made with his control came mainly at the end-game, where he had so many things to deal with at once (off 8 base, 200/200 on multiple fronts). Violet's control has never been perfect, but he still handled it ok. However, in the early game he did play very well (even though his initial shuttle harass was mainly blocked by well placed turrets). He managed to keep the CC out of 5.5 and the tanks from pushing out for a long while with good goon control. | ||

Hiya's TvP is scary as hell, he always crushes Stork like it's a piece of cake. Beating him like Violet did in this game is not easy. | ||

PS the only time Hiya killed templars during that game was with mines (Violet's one true weakness) or if they had already used their storms. He did a terrible job keeping Violet's units in check. The only reason we didn't see more stasis that game was because Violet forwent having tons of arbiters and instead spent his gas on Temps. That's a gameplay decision that obviously payed off. I never saw an EMP'd temp, btw. I saw him miss a few on temps. Hiya EMP'd a few arbiters, though. I'm just tired of seeing people discredit Violet all the time. It's not like he's cheesey at all. The cheesiest thing he does is go carriers off four base. He almost always wins standard, usually long and drawn out, games. He takes solid wins from top players fairly often, won some ace games, and is overall a solid Toss despite a recent slump. There's just no reason to discredit him as a good player. =( | ||
