He had a protoss last OSL on zerg favoured maps.

He didn't fare much better with that. Zero is just a Ro8 player.

Considering he's made a Ro4, I don't think that's very accurate.

Yeah, it's the next day. And this is still pretty absurd. People jumping back on the Effort bandwagon dispite being as equally bad as go.go and Shine. LoL.

Requesting 2-month ban, I've been neglecting all of my schoolwork and other shit, and there's no greater evidence of that than watching 17 OSL games, plus the 9 proleague games I watched before those, and spending over 6 hours updating this OP.

Love you all, see you after my finals.

Mirrors account for 50% of matchups, from the perspective of the observer.

no?!

assuming all 3 races are played equally often:

then 1/9th of the games will be tvt, 1/9th will be tvp, 1/9th will be pvt... wait, thats the same from the observers perspective.

each particular mirror makes up for 1/9th of the games, so 1/3rd of all games are mirrors. each particular nonmirror makes up for 2/9th of the games, so 2/3rd of all games are non-mirrors.

lol i thought germans were good at math/stats
u need to count tvt etc twice
hence there is half chance of getting mirror

roll 2 dices simultaneously for 100 or 200 times and count how often u roll 2 sixes and how often u roll a six and a five. this should teach u.

some other reasoning:

we randomly choose 2 players, player A and player B, out of a huge pool of players. lets say that all races are played by an equal amount of players, so the chance for player A to be a terran player is 1/3rd.

we only get a tvt if both player A and player B are terrans. as both events are independent assuming a large enough playerpool, the probability for this to happen is 1/3*1/3 = 1/9.

to get a pvt, we need EITHER player A to be toss and player B to be terran, which has a probability of 1/9th, or player A to be terran and player B to be toss, which also has a probability of 1/9th. the overall probability of a pvt thus is 2/9.

TvT
TvP
TvZ
PvT
PvP
PvZ
ZvT
ZvP
ZvZ

each are equally likely assuming equal amounts of each race, 1/3 are mirrors

therefore about 1/3 of the total matchups will be mirrors

wow you guys are all saying 1/3....did you not even read the guy. It says from observer's point of view. Watching a tvz vs a zvt is the same damn thing. Observers don't play. But when you play the game, you are either the terran or the zerg so that makes 2 matchups.

look at the chart again.

even from a player's perspective you still have a 1/3 chance at getting a mirror

No, that's not what RoieTRS said. He didn't say from the perspective of the observer, mirrors happen 50% of the time, he said from the perspective of the observer, mirrors account for 50% of the matchups. The way he said it, it's true.

edit: This is, unless, everyone's responding to a different post than I am.
