Thing is, football is a team sport. SC is 1v1. That and Flash has never beaten JD in a bo5 (1-3 in GOMTV MSL S4, 0-3 in GOM S1, 1-3 in NATE MSL. The last one is because of the power outage incident).
That said, Flash is definitely one of the greatest of all time, no question about it. He is still young, and will only continue to build on his legacy.

Plus, it's completely reasonable for Flash to have looked around the entire place, that's a big ass area, it would be stupid as hell just to pass by a HUGE unchecked area if you're looking for a proxy in the first place. I mean, if you're looking for proxy rax, it's going to be somewhere in that area, it's a big area, flash just checked it all. Genius preparation, and completely reasonable.

Flash's scouting pattern looked pretty normal to me. I mean, it's possible that he heard the crowd, but there isn't really any evidence that he did except that Light says he heard them. And it doesn't seem like anyone bothered to actually ask Flash whether he heard the crowd so I guess we'll never know... but IMO, Flash scouts for proxies all the time and and it just paid off here.
