White-Ra vs TT1 was really tight and high quality, whereas JF beat Terran in a disappointing series. JF played quite well, don't get me wrong, but I just don't think that Terran had the experience to play his A game today. Wow, every single one of your posts so far has been extremely pro-Gosi[Terran] and anti JF. Seriously, you are ridiculously biased. Terran is good but not that good. Oh, I don't see it that way at all. I just felt that Terran played rather poorly compared to his showing against Grape that Artosis put up last week. His macro was pretty consistently poor, and he never really pushed out. I fully understand that the latter of these two factors was influenced by JF's aggressive harass, but it seems like Terran could have done a better job. I really like JF, and think he played well today. I certainly didn't mean to come off as anti-JF when I was expressing my disappointment in Terran's performance. Yeah, but not pushing out was probably a direct result of his bad macro, not because he wasn't aggressive enough. But I don't think nerves can explain his bad play, because the games weren't live. And also, nerves are a big part of whether or not you can be a good player. Being the best practice partner in the world is not going to get you anywhere. But hopefully Terran will get better. Even though I don't really like him as a person, I feel like him and Kolll are the best white hopes for future progaming. Kolll more so because he always seems to be calm under pressure, like Nony is.

Seems like Gosi really needs to improve in this area and then he'll be good.

My upper bracket predictions are coming true, if only Kolll hadn't failed my lower bracket ones :D

If you go to his game 1 you'll see he had 2k+ glass for much of the game. It didn't screw him (too much) against Infernal, but it lost him the game against JF, who simply out macro'd him. Seems like Gosi really needs to improve in this area and then he'll be good. Yeah, game 2 he had ~3k at one point and game 4 he had 1k+ too. I was expecting him to own shit up, but JF was way better today. JF just always seemed to be in a better position and had stronger macro.

Soooooooooo good ah, really enjoyed the series even if I thought Terran played poorly compared to his games vs Grape. All the games were really tense and Artosis/Tasteless were really on today. Sickkkkkk I'm sorry, but Terran only did so good vs Grape because they were both macro robots. No brains. JF had the macro to fight toe to toe with Terran, but was much smarter in his decision making. Terran didn't play poorly, he just had no answer to JF's intelligent moves.

edit- also there were times when I would see a drop or harass happen on the minimap and not only would artosis/tasteless miss it but even the observer would miss it. oh god that was driving me crazy lol. really made me realize just how good korean TV observers are and why they deserved to get paid to do it fulltime lol.

Credit to JF as he played exceptionally, but there seems to still be quite an obvious skill gap in many of the series. The ro8 is looking quite promising though.

The only problem was that I was almost tearing my hair out at times when something would be going on either on screen or on the minimap and artosis/tasteless would either completely miss it or not point it out until 10-15 seconds after it happened. ESPECIALLY during the JF vs terran games. This probably the biggest problem in the way that the games are casted right now, but I'm not really sure what a good way to fix it would be. Just kinda a bummer I guess. edit- also there were times when I would see a drop or harass happen on the minimap and not only would artosis/tasteless miss it but even the observer would miss it. oh god that was driving me crazy lol. really made me realize just how good korean TV observers are and why they deserved to get paid to do it fulltime lol. I agree, maybe it was just them being groggy with it being stupid-o-clock in the morning for the commentators, but they seemed to miss a fair few important encounters. ![]() At the risk of sounding overly negative, it is the one thing that I've found to be slightly under-par in the otherwise excellent TSL. It's happened in most of the games where the commentators and the observer either aren't on the same page as each other, or they've both just completely missed something. Guess that comes with the territory of all the players/commentators/observers being in different places. We make do with what we've got I suppose. ![]() Some good games though! Looking forward to todays!
