I thought the JF vs Terran games were of higher quality than the White-ra vs TT1 games. Maybe, Terran didn't play up to his potential but he still played pretty damn well. JF and Terran have much faster reaction times and cleaner mechanics overall than White-ra and TT1 imo. It's pretty common in a long PvT to lose some units to mines. It's sometimes intentional to send a could of units to diffuse mines. White-ra had long 1k macro sinks off 2 base and still managed to win whereas JF's macro was generally clean until he maxed. And maybe this is due to the nature of the matchup, but I felt JF vs Terran had alot more encounters than TT1 vs White-ra.

JF is a beast , definitely better then that grape guy from estro . Idra will have trouble with Nony JF/ White-Ra and Fenix . While i think that Ret's got this easy if he can just pass Castro and Sen . His ZvP is to damn good for a foreign protoss to handle at least thats what me thinks .

That's your basis for thinking White-ra will ROLL jf?

How bout this for a possible basis?

JF's play was seriously impressive. Gosi[Terran] didn't play badly, JF was just ahead of him in very standard, stable games. He managed the gameflow perfectly and didn't slip in macro or multitask. There is no way to downplay this kind of performance.

It all depends on how much JF is prepared to practise or has practised for it,. and how much worse his pvp has gotten due his inactiveness.

A in shape pvp jf would wipe the floor with ra.

The King is back. Long live the King.

I'm just loving JF's well thought out strategies and his great decision-making. There are some sloppy moments but overall he just has a great understanding of the match-up and the correct thing to do.

I hope he puts in some significant practice and effort so we can see some more great games from him.

JF is looking so much stronger than I thought he would. Would love to see Idra play a Bo5 vs him.

And that game on Outsider was fucking epic.

Yeah, it is useful to consider their past encounters, but all of those were over 6 months ago, some substantially so. My prediction is just based on today's games, which admittedly are a small sample, but also indicate their strengths at this very moment. It is also worth considering that White-Ra has been training his PvP for the past couple of weeks and will be able to continue refining it, while JF will be switching which MU he's practicing for. I expect good play from JF, but I also expect the result to be one-sided.

Game 2 he didn't respond in time when JF pushed at 9.

Look at game 3 and tell me otherwise.

Game 4 he managed to stay in with his upgrades and making a sizable army, but in the end he stretched himself thin.

Gosi's play was solid with some errors here and there. Not like JF didn't make a lot of mistakes too.

I would say the Gosi handles pressure pretty well.

this
I was surprised, this series was probably the most interesting series I've seen among foreigners, so back and forth and also high level game methinks.

Wow, every single one of your posts so far has been extremely pro-Gosi[Terran] and anti JF. Seriously, you are ridiculously biased. Terran is good but not that good.

i couldn't believe how good JF's macro was

I mean admittedly in game 1 Gosi fucked up his macro a LOT.. as well as taking his 3rd cleanly.

but games 2 and 4 jf played sooo well mechanically. game 4 he was maxed hilariously fast.

Oh, I don't see it that way at all. I just felt that Terran played rather poorly compared to his showing against Grape that Artosis put up last week. His macro was pretty consistently poor, and he never really pushed out. I fully understand that the latter of these two factors was influenced by JF's aggressive harass, but it seems like Terran could have done a better job.

I really like JF, and think he played well today. I certainly didn't mean to come off as anti-JF when I was expressing my disappointment in Terran's performance.
