Jaedong has gone so far without losing a single game (!!!) in his entire MSL run, while Flash has lost two. I think that Jaedong's devastating loss in the OSL to Flash was what he needed to not be overly confident, as well as the ZvFlash practice time before the Flash vs. Kwanro series giving him practice against what he should expect from Flash on these maps (Flash prepared with Jaedong). Flash on the other hand has been steamrolling any and all of his opposition in the PL, OSL and MSL. In this series there's more than just an MSL title in it, it's a chance to do the unimaginable and take both leagues week after week - making it even more impressive than when Nada won both titles. He's had some tough calls, practiced all kinds of crazy build orders (7rax, 14cc, 1rax into expansion straight-up marine push, etc) as well as his classic 1rax into expansion anti-muta build. My gut says it's a coinflip, my mind says that Flash is impossibly good right now, my experience says that Jaedong brings up the best in himself in situations like this, my heart wants to see Flash take all titles, history says that Bo5s are Jaedong territory, and the Kim Carry Curse is a burden that Jaedong will have to carry (buddum tss!). In short, lots of vodka and hype. | ||
