ADDITIONAL RULES
+ Show Spoiler +
Players must sign-up with their real name and show ID at check-in. WGF reserves the right to not allow a player to sign up for the tournament if the player refuses to show ID. A player may use any in-game screen name he or she wishes as long as he or she has shown ID at check-in.
Players must bring their own computer to play on. There will not be computers provided at the event. Please have StarCraft®: Brood War™ installed and updated to the latest patch (1.16.1) before the event begins. Please also have the required maps installed—if it is not understood how to install the maps, a tournament official will provide assistance at the event.
Players are expected to arrive on time. Players that arrive more than 15 minutes late for the start of the qualifying and final rounds will be seen as forfeit. Players that do not appear within 5 minutes of a scheduled match will be given a warning or a loss.
Players are expected to have manners, and any inappropriate behavior, as decided by the tournament master, can result in disqualification.
Any attempt to cheat will result in disqualification. This includes but is not limited to intentionally viewing the other player's screen, map hacking, intentional disconnection of the game, or unauthorized plug-ins.
If there is no battle for a certain amount of time during the match and the winner cannot be decided clearly after the time limit is up, the winner will be determined by the highest overall score.
Match Winner is determined by the following:
The player who destroys all the opposition’s buildings
The opposing player surrenders
The highest overall score at the end of the time limit
Players are not allowed to pause during the game unless it is due to technical difficulties or disturbances. Any other reason for pausing can result in a warning or loss. If the game is paused, it will only be started under the consensus of both players. If a player starts the game without the approval of the other player, a tournament official may decide on a warning or a loss.
WGF may join as an observer for tournament operations purposes, such as verifying match results or gathering match data.
Participants of event must be over the age of 18 or approved by parent or guardian.
