im really excited about this, but its also really sad. Calm is way better than shine and movie. This is the REAL finals. He totally doesn't deserve to lose here, neither does Flash. maybe as a whole zero's better, or effort. I dont know. What I do know is when it comes to individual leagues, when it comes to BOx's, calm has proven he can elevate his play to the next level on any stage. Calm is a proven commodity. Zero, effort, might have more direct quality to give, I dont know. But as far as series play goes they are definitively inferior to calm, because calm's won a damn starleague, and made it to the semi's of the osl already. In that respect, while I might predict zero or effort> calm in pl, I would never do that for a starleague, until zero or effort prove they have it within them to go as far there as calm has.

If I recall, in the first, Flash prevented Jaedong from ever making use of his third base and simply rolled over him in the end. His micro was incredible and he lost a handful of marines throughout the entire game. The second was Flash with a forward 8rax into bunker rush, and Jaedong kept his natural instead of canceling, and it cost him. I fail to see how Flash did not dominate Jaedong in those two games. It was sheer dominance because Flash read Jaedong like a book, worked out precise strategies and Jaedong simply could not stand up to them. If you read the interview for Game 2, Flash stated that he had practiced that exact strategy. He knew exactly what he was doing. Does it necessarily mean that Flash will 3-0 Jaedong in the MSL? Heck no. But no one can deny that Flash destroyed Jaedong in the OSL. That's my point - Flash knows his opponents, and has unbelievable micro/macro to back up his stratagems. Given that, I have to imagine that Flash will do exceedingly well against Calm. Furthermore, getting back to the real point of how it relates to Calm v. Flash, the stats speak for themselves. Flash has won 18 of his last 20 TvZ matches. Calm has won 13 of his last 20 ZvT matches, and as I pointed out he has been losing lately to Fantasy (3 times!) and Light, both fairly high level Terran players. I'm not saying statistics are a say-all, but it indicates to me that Flash is likelier to win. My post was not about Flash v. Jaedong at all. It was about Flash v. Calm. I'd be far more interested to hear your response to my main argument than jabbing at one piece of my support.
I am expecting Calm to get destroyed. If Calm wins 1 game let alone 2 I will be very impressed. I will not be surprised if Flash 3-0's him. Maybe I just see calm on bad days but it seems everytime I watch him play he tends to lose even if he has an advantage to where he should not lose but somehow fucks it up. I would like Calm to win but I know he won't and I will probably watch the first 2 games tonight to see how they are ^^.

^ trust me calm is very good. Hes got an almost 80% record in zvt this year, 80+% in zvp, and like 60ish% in zvz this year. Hes beastly.
Edit: Only time ive seen him play really sloppy, that wasnt explained by him being sick, was that terrible game against fantasy recently. Which in hindsight, is likely because he is totally focusing on the OSL and his match against flash.

As much as Flash is one of my favorite players, for Calm to beat Flash it would require remarkable play and be an amazingly close series. Bring it on. I'm a fan of the game itself more than any player.

I've spent the last five minutes trying to make a joke with "Flash" and "slaughterhouse" but the only thing I've come up with is Flaughterhouse which is really unfunny, so let's just say Calm will get butchered - you heard it here first folks, everyone in this thread is predicting Calm > Flash but I've always rooted for underdogs so go LYH!
