LRs like this give u the feeling that ur really inside the game and u can feel the excitement of the game. you get a detailed report of the game.
This action-packed reporting with refreshing the page every 5 seconds in hope there is a new line is the best thing of the LR. YES EXACTLY! the problem is that it is done so badly or carelessly now that it isn't readable to feel the game.
I believe the fundamental thing is an understanding as to what these posts are for / what they are. Currently these posts serve as "Game Day" posts, which is where people come and discuss the game as its occurring, thus to someone like me who's watching it, the one liners make sense, and I don't mind them because I'm actually aware of what's happening, however it would be almost impossible to read this and understand what's occurring at all.
Now, for the people who are watching the games live and participating, these threads are a lot of fun. For those who are trying to gleam information, these things are bottomless pits, though there are a few gems of wisdom of commentary that occur about 40% of the time for analysis, however that's post game. In the end the live reporting is probably not well suited for this thread.
I feel my solution should remedy this for both parties, with no real impact on either. Worse comes to worse, it fails, thus nothings gained, but nothings lost.

Imo you did a good job. I wasnt able to watch and just fullowed this thread. I think I fully got what was going on (speaking only of Best vs Flash, the rest didnt matter).
Just reduce the amount of caps lock typing please. But even this is arguable. I remember Day doing the live reports the same style. And nearly everyone just loved it. (Not me though)

hmm well although the "one liner" posts don't usually have much deep analysis of the game, i don't see how they're "bottomless pits" for getting info of what's happening, as they literally describe whats happening - 4 zealots attacking flash's nat! OMGOMG 2 tanks fall! etc...

Well, I support the idea of separate Live Report and "Game Day" threads.
The threads become funnier to read (in a bad, fanboys LOL kind of way) but it does make following things a lot harder.
I started lurking TL in late 2006/early 2007, and the info/noise ratio is quite different.
One liners should probably just stay in the stream chats anyways.

I think one liners fit in with a game day thread still, this way everyone can be happy. i'm conjuring up the Calm vs Flash Tourney thread now (One other thing I really like to do, is get like 4 pages of pre-game in the Game Day thread by posting it about 20 hours in advance, since it builds excitement and anticipation, which makes the games a lot more entertaining to be a part of).
Let's see how this one turns out, i'll probably try again if it fails, because tbh, I would be surprised if the viewership for this latest matchup is incredibly high due to it being New Years
