Let's go 3-0! four won games wont give Flash 0.4% win rate 2400 ELO is possible, but 70% win rate is damn far away.
You know if you actually calculated it, a 3-0 tomorrow will give Flash 70%

I miss the days were people gave a LR that was to be read not kona style posting =( One comment I'd have for this, which is also something I've been debating. It might amke more sense to have a separate actual "Live Report Thread", becuase people tend to use these to just discuss the matches as a whole and as a community, thus for those involved, it's a lot more fun, but it's not very informative for those trying to read it. So basically, you'd have this post, then you'd have a link on the front page to a "Live Report Post", where people would just post pure facts rather than speculation or anything. That would clean it up, while also keeping the charm and environment that make these games fun to watch together as a community. I'll try and experiment with this next time I make one of these. Don't. It just unnecessarily clutters the forums and makes finding specific threads more difficult. However, if you made it into like, say a blog post that was linked to through the main page of this, that way people wouldn't view it as cluttered, and thus everything would be linked through the main post which would make finding it easy. I've seen quite a few people lately complaining that these "LR Threads" aren't really... LR-ish, which I'd agree with. It's a possible solution if that's something people would like.
If you guys don't know what LR threads used to look like go to any one before 2008 (before the daum sports revolution and the first of the relay streamers!).
I used to be able to see the game visually from them. Now it is whichever player has more annoying fanboys and who fails to understand what they are watching the most.
but things change I think along with the sc2 forum LR threads have slowly lost their readablity and function =(.

Meh, I should have calculated it before saying anything. >_>

Every win Flash has gotten lately has given him around 0.09% so with rounding you probably could've guessed yourself. :\
Then again I'm a flash fanatic who checks his tlpd religiously after every game soooo

You're right. I forgot that TLPD is not updated yet. So he is 3 wins away from 70%

Just read Flash's interview
Flash said he predicted that BeSt would use this build And while studying TvP, he found out that players like Stork and Bisu tend to play incredibly different and come incredibly prepared than usual when they play against him.

They've lost their function because they're hardly needed anymore, since streaming is soooo much better than it was 2+ years ago.

I agree that old LR threads were much more readable. I used to read LR threads instead of watching the games if I were at work or in class.
However, thing have changed since the old days. With livestream, almost everyone has access to the streams (contrasting before, it was only the fortunate few), so more people have the ability and resources to 'contribute'. With more contributors, the frequency needs to increase as well, otherwise your well crafted LR post would be buried underneath tens if not hundreds of one-liners, which would lose its purpose.
I personally think it's fine the way it is; it's simply an evolution. I think of these threads as sandboxes rather than LR threads.

It's called a gameday thread on other forums and is really just people posting thoughts on whatever's going on. Quality isn't expected.
Well LIVE REPORTING is much different then 'gameday' threads. REPORT ....... is the key word.
Here is the test. Anytime there is a LR going on, just open the thread, hit all and hit f5 during the games. If you do that and get a coherant feel of whats happending it is live reporting if you get "OMFG FLASHES MAKING FUFCK DPOETS And teh aer" and then the next thing is "FUcking reaver" "FLASH WINS GG FROM BEST" then it is just turn based chatting.

I don't understand the significance of the bolded part Is he saying Best is a player like Stork and Bisu, and that's why he predicted Best would use a very different build than usual?
Thanks

So my question is, would people LIKE to see LR sections for people who like to write cohesively (I'm sure there are some out there) and thoughtfully linked to through the main page, and made in a sections such as like blogs so it doesn't clutter up other posts?
I can see benefits as to doing it, I could see the downside would be if it didn't work out just due to lack of interest. I'm going to probably end up hosting the Calm vs Flash thread tomorrow night (Because what else do I have to do on New Year's Eve?), though I'll probably not experiment then.
On the plus side, I do like the recommended game poll, I think that's actually an interesting statistic to view that might help direct people towards what games would be good to watch on top of any recommended game commentary.

The next part says
"Blah blah Best doesn't make high templars against any other Terran but made Templars against me so I played different than usual" or something

I don't think Flash vs Clam will be an easy game for Flash, but I expect him to win the series.

I think the quality of the posts and posters is the only problem not the function. I rather play then watch at games (even jaedongs) at night and watch the games later. I like being able to read the threads and understand the game. I think the actual starcraft content is the only thing wrong and the posts/posters not preserving each thread for the next million years they are just boosting there postcount.
TL has an IRC each stream has its own chat AND you all have msn/im and email, along with texts/phonecalls ect I don't think expecting people to post decently is too much to ask.

i dunno whats ur guys problem.
Imho the livereport is the best if there are many small lines like
Best sends out probe to 7 lololol ninja expo? probes makes nexus !!!!! flash going out with 3 tanks vults scouting map best only 6 goons vs 3 tanks and couple vults thats not enough OMG best wtf flash will rape his nat flash moving in!!!! MINES OMFG ZEAL DROOOP zealbomb kills 2 tanks with mines bests units die anyway 1 tank and 5 vultures left 4 facts pumping more units reinforments will kill nexus best adding gates but its too late
LRs like this give u the feeling that ur really inside the game and u can feel the excitement of the game. you get a detailed report of the game. This action-packed reporting with refreshing the page every 5 seconds in hope there is a new line is the best thing of the LR.

Or against Light in the MSL.
Calm is extremely smart but compared to his ZvZ, his ZvT is really uninspiring in every way.

YES EXACTLY!
the problem is that it is done so badly or carelessly now that it isn't readable to feel the game.
