Except Flash's style is based on an intimate understanding of timing, not massive macro... ForGG is more like OOV than Flash. And look how well he's doing
fOrGG is a player known for his timing attacks. Flash is indeed similar to oov in the sense that his sense of expansion timing and economic play is unrivaled.

What's up with this fast expand + fast vessel build? It seems so fragile and I can't really remember any games where it was put to good use, and I remember several where it just straight up lost to aggression

Iris is seriously going up the tech tree quickly. He's only got one of each unit producing building yet he's already constructing a science facility.
