I don't think Bisu had any confidence going into his match against Jaedong. I don't know if it was a joke or not, but Stork said Bisu lost all hope in going for gold because Jaedong was there.

Oh well... Go Stork! End swarm season!!!

Bisu is really stubborn or just stupid. Either way I dont understand why he doesnt try to change his pvz or at least go back to his basics and reinvent his play. He is playing really bad in his supposed to be best MU.

Edit: Stork will stomp JD tomorrow .

From a pure entertainment perspective I think it would've been more fun if Idra had made it through. Watch his first game against Stork in IEF; he was quite close to actually outplaying the best PvT'er of all time. He's the foreigner (excluding the chinese) who has the best chance of going toe to toe against high level Koreans without being humiliated. I think it's very cool and impressive that Koll beat Idra 2-0, though. I really want to see those games. He sure has a great future as a SC player if he keeps up the good work. Go Koll!

idra's first game in ief wasn't even close. For us and any chobo spectator it looked close, but in progaming terms its utter rape in every aspect. Any semi pro and decent amateur in korea can play this way.

Go watch the game again is all I can say. It was not a rape. First off, look at how well Idra handled the early pressure. That early pressure is quite comparable to what Kolll completely fell apart to against Bisu. Idra did not fall apart, he reacted in a great way and showed us some pro gamer micro. Then look at how calmly he handled the DT's by destroying his own comsat. Brilliant presence of mind! And the push would've most likely suceeded if it wasn't for that minedrag. You should really rewatch the game.

Forgive my laziness for not watching the game, but would you please tell me the deal behind Idra destroying his own comsat? Destroying your own comsat to deal with DTs sounds kind of weird o.O lol

He just scanned Stork's base and saw Templar tech, so his scanner has 0 energy, right? So then he destroys it and rebuilds it to get 50 energy much faster.

He used a scan and rebuilt the comsat so that he could get another scan right away

I dunno why are you guys discussing Koll instead of A2. Really, who hasn't won Idra nowadays? But taking a straight long game from Jaedong who's top-1 Kespa with ELO so high it's not even funny is a big achievement. Even considering that A2 is quite an oldschool and Koll is new young talent and what's not.

Not to mention that JD was undefeated against terran on Tau Cross which makes A2's win that much more impressive and yet pointless .

lame that this foreigner ive never heard of gets past idra and top chinese so he can get raped 4-0 by pros in one-sided games

..because you haven't heard of him... doesn't mean shit

that fact that he got destroyed does mean shit. at least someone like pj would put up a decent fight

Erm, a foreigner in his worst matchup vs the 2 best protosses ever... what fucking more do you want from a 14 year old kid?

the fact that it's his worst matchup or 14 yr old doesnt rly matter here... he's just another semi finalist, so he is expected to play like one, and i think everyone who saw the games must have thought 'OMG how can that guy be in the semi finals'... The games were just that bad... I think most top foreigners would put up a better fight....

like.. ret did vs jeadong e.g

`
ret was inactive at that moment and not a top foreigner... ret vs nada would be more like it, that was when ret was active... draco hasnt been a top foreigner either for a long time so not sure why someone mentioned that...
not sure why you guys defending him so much, i think he should be able to take some criticism and be realistic after all he also was in that being b- in 5 months topic... Have to say i also thought he was a troll so yea thats damn impressive for sure and he's surely one to look out for in the future, but i dont know why ppl are making excuses for the games sucking... it was just a subpar performance and it woulda been more fun if a top foreigner filled the spot instead...

well the top foreigner you're talking about LOST to koll, why do you think he would have fared better against Stork/Bisu?

Dont know why you think im talking about idra, but yea he would be one of them
The options why:
option a: because it was hard to do worse
option b: because they are overal better players
option c: i dunno

according to your theory chrh would have done better than bisu, after all he beat bisu... not a very solid theory though...
its me

Yeah, anyone who bashes Kolll is a jerk. He had a great tournament, and I expect to see a lot more of him in the future!

And yeah, Advokate's win against Jaedong seems underappreciated. I think Jaedong played like an ass in that game, but that really doesn't matter at all; he's the best SC player off all time and a foreigner took him down in a straight up game. WAAAA! How awesome is that? All hail Advokate!

It is absolutely TOO DELICIOUS watching that cocky Idra (who is a progamer) get raped by a 14 year old (who is NOT a progamer).

On the other hand, I hope you win, Stork. Unfortunately, PvZ isn't where your strength lies. I'll understand if you do lose. =(

The minedrag certainly speed things up but the push will not work anyway. Idra lost his timing long ago from being behind in cheese(1 gate against 2 rax is pretty bad). Stork timed his arbiter and gateways for any immediate fastest 6 fac 2 base push in midgame. Its the same situation as fantasy v stork osl final game 2, but that fantasy only lost a bit of timing, idra lost a lot more. I think the measure of skill in progaming is by optimal timing thats why he looks close. Lower tier players will always lose seconds of timing thats why they are. The standard of game is no different from stork playing an osl offline qualifier. The top players almost plays at optimal timing in everything whereas 3rd tier players always lose a bit of timing in their games and are down to 3rd tier. Nowadays esports evolved into something very cruel. Although from foreigners' view he is really impressive in that game, from korean community, progamers, commentators and idra himself i suppose he will think it wasn't close.

yeah and idra shouldn't have lost to koll 0-2 tvz when he trained with so many players who are better than koll's standard in his house. Must give credit to koll together with advocate. Advocate certainly played like progamer in his mech push.

I just want to point out that in the past 10 or so pages there has been so much bull shit it's been unreal. People; there were basically no posts insulting Koll's abilities. Merely statements of facts about how hard he got owned by Stork and Bisu. That's not saying he's bad... it's saying he lost to the 2 best protoss in SC. Stop getting so defensive about the whole situation. Oh, and Idra haters never fail to show up in full force.

He had not lost his window. Have you even watched the game? Stork only had a few goons at that point, so there was no way he could've broken the push at that point if Idra had still had those Vultures. It was a really close game until then. That DT won Stork the game.

Yeah, Idra really had bad luck in this game. His TvP is his best matchup imo.
