It is NOT confirmed that single elimination brackets is top 8 only, actually it would make no sense for this amount of players. I will let you know once I get it confirmed, but I would rather expect 4 players per group to qualify for SE finals. And by the way, the groups are awesome - they were never so even before! As far as I know the rule posted on WCG site supposed to work for the games with ~16 players only etc. For Starcraft it would make no sense.
