Bad news, unfortunately top 2 is advancing to the brackets, only top 2 indeed. I'll wait for one more person to confirm this rules change, but it seems we will have only 8 players in the brackets this year. At the other hand - well, we never had that small amount of finalists in SC:BW, so it sounds logical that our brackets were reduced to 8 as for the other smaller titles. And the groups were never so even before, most of the foreign stars qualified (it feels so bad for Ret and no Canadian representative though T_T), so I'm still expecting a lot of very entertaining games in China. Also good thing is each player will play 7 (or 6) games at least, if we had 8 groups, that would mean 2-3 games for players who got eliminated. Cheers, Raven

It is NOT confirmed that single elimination brackets is top 8 only, actually it would make no sense for this amount of players. I will let you know once I get it confirmed, but I would rather expect 4 players per group to qualify for SE finals. And by the way, the groups are awesome - they were never so even before! The seeds were never used for draw before, correct? Cheers, Raven Group A and D tend to disagree.

Also, the winner of Kenya can not compete, the second place player will be going instead

Not sure if there is live broadcasting. The rehearsal I saw today is bad. The Chinese performers are really unknow (even to me). I think the interesting part would be to see some player representities to address a speech/oath.

I really think these won't be commentated in English but hopefully they will still be on a stream so we can watch. Also, the Opening ceremonies will be on at 18:00 KST, they will be broadcasted and they will be boring. they're doing a Warcraft 3 match after that, yAws vs Sky

I think Tasteless and Artosis will be broadcasting the main stage matches, if they had to cast them all I think they're vocal chords would start bleeding and their servers are notoriously bad, so the lag might be bad.

Since OGN is broadcasting SC (and possibly WC3/CS?), people can just tune in to OGN streams. Don't think it will have transmitting to Korea.

This is true, but this will be broadcasted in Korean, which is fine. But it will also be being broadcasted in English on the WCG site and QuadV
