I would assume it is because he has played the matchup so many thousand times that he just understands how far the protoss can potentially be at this point etc.

Did Flash intentionally botch his own micro in the early push? He mentioned that 2-fac is a BO disadvantage against 2-gate, but still went ahead with the push - is the safer play to go on defence and macro up (e.g. invest more in vulture + mines instead of tank)?

A lot of things lead to that insight, it's not very mystical tbh. 1) He scouts a 2gate opening, trades a few tanks vs goons, sees that there's no nexus at 6.09 = he knows his natural expo is not too late, economies are probably even. 2) He denies Protoss' third at 6.40 for a while, that's a + 3) He handles the reaver-harrass well, + 4) He crushes the push at 10.40, ++ 5) He sees a super-late 3rd at 11.50 (when his is already up), ++ --> Protoss is already dead vs Flash's macro. Don't let the title give you a wrong impression: The 2fact, yes, everyone can do with 150 apm, but winning the game like this from 6.00 onward is a whole different story, not even so much for the apm but the handling and decision-making. He's just teaching a safe/aggressive opener everyone can do, then plays a normal game (a bit laid back probably because of the opponent's level).
