Also I find it very disappointing that you neglected to mention the importance of high APM. Your strategy mentions building cannons, but those are technically effective actions and do not contribute towards redundant actions. I sincerely hope this oversight is only because such matters are too trivial for a master of the game such as yourself. | ||

But I've hung my cannons up for now, I haven't played a game of Brood War in over a year. I just have too many bitter memories of a time long gone, times when I used to call 'ReignHard' my friend...We were the best of friends, and then the worst of enemies. I call it the 'great ReignHard incident of 2006'. It was a dark and stormy night, I sat with the flickering monitor light upon my face. Tonight I was blessed with the most stoic of faces you will ever see. Knowing that I had my strategy all sorted out, I knew I wouldn't lose. ReignHard had suggested the map we play on...it was known as The Hidden Palace...he said to me "Wannsee this map?" I said "I don't need to see the map, I am confident." Let us just say, that after 23 minutes of play, with my initial troops moving out and my population at a proud 42, I noticed something strange. The mineral patches only had 40000 on them, and not 50000 like they are supposed to. The geysers were maxed out, so in the end...there was just too much gas. The gas aided in the killing of many - it was a travesty. Needless to say, it took me months to get over this incident, it shook me up so badly that I had to quit professional Broodwar. I still get the shakes today thinking about it. | ||
