Thank you krndandaman. Another question : on iCCup, after hosting a game, what is the command that makes your game only available for people equal or below xxxx points, with xxxx is the number of ladder point you type in.

For example, I want to make my game only available for people who have less than 1700 points, what is the command for this ? Thanks

It's /RL "Points"(Setting minimum rank limit) "Points" (Setting maximum rank limit)

So in your case it's "/Rl 1000 1700"

Should you never gas steal at normal scout timing in pvt? Usually they would have made the refinery by then and if they haven't they are usually 1 rax expanding or some sort of barracks rush.

Should I drone scout in ZvP python since there are situations where I can't scout the opening of my opponents with only overlords by the time I have to make my 3rd hatchery. I usually open overpool but have no idea whether the opponent is going forge FE/2 gate / 1 gate tech.

if the opponent is going 2 gate me should I go for 2 hatch before gas or 3 hatch before gas?

@littlefighter don't gas steal without a reason, as it will screw up your bo. you can gas steal if you have a clear idea how to get advantage out of it (so with a bo that ties into it, like for instance a Gas Steal Elevator Rush)

yup. 4 player maps in general require drone scouting and make sure you find him and know his type of strategy before you plant the third hatch. if 2 gate or 1 base, it is usually good to plant 3rd hatch before gas and keep making lings to zealot count. if you find him expanding, go and get a third base and drone.

the danger with opening overpool on python is that since 2 gates are really common and you will be larvae capped with overpool for a while, a good toss won't attack until he has around 5 zealots and brings along 2-3 probes. if you see with his overlord that he is collecting zealots, then you need to make lings will all your larvae. it is good to check his gas timing as well.

its just a personal preference but I always do it if I get the chance (within reason, i.e. if my probe gets to their base early), because it also screws their build. If they go marine all in I can scout it and it seems so easy to hold as protoss, and if not you know theyre fast expanding so i can safely expanding knowing there's no early push that could kill me. I just find at my level i usually win macro PvT games so if I can force my opponent into playing a macro game I will.

in PvP to be safe from dt's is 2 gate robo with constant goon production too late to get an obs out?

what is kind of the safest PvP build, is it 1 gate range obs then the 2nd gate?

I'm thinking pylon second scout but usually terrans have their gas on pylon first scout on large maps too.

edit: Alright, I think my micro isn't good enough to win with two gate pressure so I'll go practice it. If I don't win with it though, terran gets a huge economy x_x

even for rax expand, gas stealing can be lethal to him if he is not careful because you are effectively delaying his tank by a lot. if you watched fantasy vs stork game 2 on the 3 player map which i can't recall what the name is, you can see that fantasy got the gas before his cc because stork moved the probe very early into the main of fantasy.

if you are able to gas steal, then going for fast 2 gate pressure is a good idea because of the delayed tank.

If you get the gas steal, and they dont put a gas at the nat, steal that too, and do a 4 gate like stork. It seems cheesy, but it works so well. If he throw up bunkers like mad, you can cut goons and double expo . If they throw up bunkers without saturating them with marines, attack anyways.

Isn't this leave you vurnerable to a maine/medic/scv timing push when you have no templars/reavers to defend ? If the terran gets both of his gas stolen, his reaction must be to throw barracks like crazy (since that's his only option lol) and prepare for some kind of deep six, and you cannot scout that at all. So when he scans toss double expand and attack with his bio toss can be screwed.

Without gas, he wont have range and stim, and if he waits for gas, range and stim will be very late. (in this case, you will have tech units),(also remember, to throw up many bunkers, keep his CC, and saturate them with marines, he can't mine gas or destroy the assimilator)When you go for the double expand, get range. Range goons destroy un upgraded marines like nobody's buisness.

as release said, no stim and range will be quite hard for him. usually, your robo should be right after the third nexus so your obs should well be in time to see what's up.

I was trying to learn reaver micro as described in liquidpedia and I ran into a strange issue. Is there some special technique to wireframe drop the reaver? When I try, half the time it doesn't actually drop unless I slowly and deliberately click on it.

I'm pretty sure I'm depressing the mouse all the way as I've never had issue with left-click commands until I tried reaver micro and the mouse is new. It's the only time I've had troubles with a command.

do u mean upgrading scarab damage for timing attacks? if so, i don't think scarab damage is ever upgraded. not that i know of actually because the increase is not significant at all. if you want to get anything upgraded, shuttle speed would be the most obvious choice. i think even with scarab upgrade, tanks still require two shots to be killed.

if i am not wrong, someone did a write up on reaver scarab damage upgrade here a long time ago. not sure what it was.

Don't think I would ever get it PvT but in PvZ I can see it being very useful for increasing the splash damage as well as making building sniping much more effective. I usually get the +25 if I'm going very reaver heavy late game PvZ and I have the money to spare.
