Well, I've been amused by Koreans' proud display of Engrish, which apparently matches Japanese Engrish in that-sounds-so-wrong-ness. While I was watching some matches on OGNlive earlier this week, I watched some commercials, too. I'll just string them together, they even make sense that way in reply to the name change, believe me.
the N part of MagicNs comes from the now defunct (?) KTF N Network on the Korean Cell Phone network (all KTF teams had Magic in them, for example, the basketball team were known as the MagicWings (I think) ).
I guess the name change comes from changing from KTF -> KT.

The service was actually called MagicN (MagicNetwork) and then the KTF proteam just added an 's' on the end of it to make it their team name.

It's a stupid name, but let's not go overboard here. Koreans don't exactly speak much English in general. It sounds really stupid to English speakers due to its connotation, but otherwise it's hardly a big deal.
In the end, Korean fans aren't going to boycott the team because of the name. And foreign KT fans don't bring the company enough money for them to care.
