Day reminded me of an ageing hipster. you really think that casting a match that can't carry the audience by the quality of play, a match that only has the backstory / animosity / hype going for it, calmly? the whole point of the match is to get amped and batshit crazy about it. why would you ever want to cast something like this calmly? and the cast had quite a bit of humor, and some strategical insight too. i think it was a good balance. often people have too much of one or the other, and here obviously the players aren't pros so there should be slightly less standard strategy analysis. Day does plenty of that in his podcasts anyway. i just can't believe you actually think the cast would be better if it was done "calmly" wtf

People will criticize him for his bad play and his attempts at cheesing Chill TWICE which led to major failure. And I think after this point it will be hard for anyone to believe he is B- as he claims he is. But he still gets mad respect points for not dodging, and finally manning up and facing Chill in a bo5 in a live stream full of people who hate him. He only gets "mad respect points" because his respect level is so negative that it's just ridiculous. Btw, what you deem "manning up", I deem "not being the dickhead that he usually is" and actually "doing the normal thing".

I found about 10% of it was too over the top but the other 90% was enjoyable. It was a stand-alone drama-filled event which was planned to be every bit as crazy as it was which made it okay imo. edit: agree with Hot_Bid

I was amped to watch it beforehand. Like I said, I am obviously a minority, but with everyone saying how much they enjoyed it and flaming all those who didn't, I wanted to back up the one guy who shared my opinion too. Like I said, not a calm cast, just calmer, which can mean a lot considering you even said this was batshit crazy.

As far as the games I thought Chill played a little worse than usual and actually made Combat look better than I have seen in his Combat's own heavily cherry picked fpvods. Though Combat obviously lacks decision making skills of a B player like he wants to pretend he is, but we already knew that. Both of them had terrible trash talk though. Chill especially really stooped to Combat's level in the trash talk department.

Maybe the first game because Desti is a somewhat hard map for ZvP (even though pro stats say 50/50). Can't say anything else about the other maps. QUOTING FOR MOTHERFUCKIN CALLIN IT

I think you're the one nitpicking. I am simply saying I didn't like how outrageous and crazy it was, I would have preferred it to be more calm. Do I have the specify the amount of calm-ness that I would have liked him to have? Who cares? All that's important to understand my opinion is that I think overall it was too much. By saying a more calm cast that doesn't have to mean completely calm or just a hair under what he was already doing. I really didn't think what I was saying was hard to get.
