SKT1 wins with a perfect 3-0!The winners!+ Show Spoiler [Bonus pic] +Boxer: "See lol, what did I tell you? I told you he'll cheese." Fantasy: "Yeaah ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ" Oov: "Where's my bananas?"
+ Show Spoiler [Interview with Bisu] +Bisu: "I will make our team be number one." "If we defeat Hwaseung, it'll be the same as defeating any other team twice." 'The Revolutionist' Bisu went for a strategic play and is once again in the competition for the 'Greatest Number of Proleague wins', defeating eSTRO's Really in the first set. The following is the interview with Bisu. - Your thoughts on your first win of Round 5? ▲ It isn't that notable. There is still a long way to go. We have to win the rest of our matches, and we still won't know if we can be first. That is why I will work harder and make sure our team becomes number one. - You warped two gateways in your opponent's base. ▲ There are many builds one can go for on Destination. You can say what I did was just one of the many builds. I thought long and hard about which build to use today, and somehow I felt that my opponent would wall-in if I go 2-gate in his main. And I think my opponent was deceived by my 2nd probe heavily. - Your 2nd probe did a magnificent job. ▲ It was all according to plan. My 2nd probe went out at the planned time, so my opponent would have given up scouting and walled himself in if he saw my probe at that timing. The purpose of my 2nd probe was to make sure that my opponent focuses on not letting me scouting his main and do a fake, and for me to buy enough time to get my gateways up. - You must have been very disappointed with your loss against KTF's Violet. ▲ It was a match I could not lose, but my opponent prepared a good build. He prepared a very good build so that he'll be always one step ahead of me. - You now have a 80% win rate. Are you confident that when the season ends, you'll still be at a 80% win rate? ▲ If I break my arm now and I don't get to play anymore, then it's possible (laugh). I do look at my win rate and keep on thinking about the 'highest win rate' title. I think it would have been a good thing if there was a prize for having the highest win rate (laugh). I am thinking way more about winning than losing nowadays, and I am always playing comfortably, be it during practice or during live matches. - Aren't you hungry for the title of 'Greatest Number of Proleague wins'? ▲ Right now, that seems to have gotten further to achieve. I wouldn't have gotten many wins too if it wasn't for this season. It would be great if I become number 1, but right now, I do not feel any desire for it, and if I get to 2nd or 3rd place next year, I'll think about it again. - You will be playing against Hwaseung next. Do you want to face Jaedong? ▲ No matter who I have to face, they are opponents I have to defeat. If we defeat Hwaseung, it'll be the same as defeating any other team twice. Winning for the team is more important than the issue of me facing Jaedong and winning. - Any final words? ▲ I am thankful to my team's Terran players who helped me with practice. I was troubled over what build to use for today, and the build I used today was the result of the advice from the coaching staff and Doctor.K. Doctor.K hyung gave me a lot of help, and I am thankful towards him.
+ Show Spoiler [Interview with s2] +s2: "My hands were warm today, and I had a good feeling about today's match." "I somehow felt that my opponent will go 4 pool." SKTelecom T1's s2 ended his 3-game losing streak, and finally recorded a win after 175 days, defeating eSTRO's hyvaa in the second set. The following is the interview with s2. - Your thoughts on your first win in Round 5? ▲ I finally got to play on stage after a long time, so I was very worried but I won easier than I thought, so I feel happy. Our team ended our losing streak, and we also recorded our first win in Round 5, so everything will start to work out fine. - It has been a long time since you were last sent out, and it's also your first Proleague win in 175 days. ▲ My hands are usually cold, but today my hands were warm, so I didn't feel nervous and I had a good feeling about today's match. I think the main reason is because I practiced a lot and had confidence. - Your opponent went for a 4 pool. ▲ I suffered that a lot during practice. Thezerg helped me with practice a lot, and I played today with the possibility of my opponent going 4 pool in mind. And somehow, I also felt that my opponent will go 4 pool. - The image of you defending with drones at the ramp left a strong impression. ▲ It was because as long as I bought enough time at the ramp, I would be able to complete my sunken colony at my base. Even up til yesterday, I would just defend it from my main during practice, but I thought of Hyuk's advice, telling me to defend it from the ramp with drones. I think that helped me out a lot. - Did you feel sad because you didn't get to play for such a long time? ▲ I did not show anything special so I did not feel that way. I think that I just have to show my skills from now on and work harder, and if I do that, I would be given more chances to be sent out. - You were eliminated disappointingly from the OSL not so long ago. ▲ At that time, I lost from a scenario where it would have been very difficult for me to lose. I learned that even when I am at an advantage, I must not lose my focus and keep my cool. - It is almost the end of the season. How do you want to end the season off? ▲ Our goal is to win the remainder of our matches and get into the Grand Finals. On my part, I must do my best for all my games. - Any final words? ▲ Our team's Thezerg, Hyuk, as well as Kim Seung Un and n.die_soo helped me greatly with practice. I am thankful to everyone, especially to Hyuk hyung who stood beside me and coached me as though it was his own practice. I also want to thank MuMyung coach for giving me confidence as well as many other advice, which helped me to focus in my game. Tomorrow, Canata hyung will be playing in the OSL. I hope he advances, so that he will treat me to something delicious.
+ Show Spoiler [Interview with Fantasy] +Fantasy: "I want to have a nickname that expresses my individuality." "I want to show myself as a player worthy of being in the top 4." SKTelecom T1's fantasy showed great mechanics, defeating eSTRO's UpMaGiC and helping the team record their first win of Round 5. The following is the interview with Fantasy. - Your thoughts on the team's first win of Round 5? ▲ We started off badly by losing our first match of Round 5, so we didn't feel all that good. But still, that was in May, and now that it's June, we want to show that we have changed. Also, as we entered June, my rankings climbed up very high, and I want to show myself as a player worthy of being in the top 4. - You and your team were in a 2-game losing streak. ▲ I think that my team loses whenever I lose. I feel that I have to work harder. I think I have been unknowingly accumulating stress as I was preparing for my games. I would get indigestion, and my condition wasn't good. That is why I am playing without any stress and instead, enjoying my games. Also, after our match against WeMade FOX, I changed my mindset and am now preparing for my games with a calm mind. - Were you shaken by your opponent's early aggression? ▲ UpMagic has been playing standard recently, so I didn't think he would play something so strategic today, and I played standard and was surprised later on. But it was not the first time I had suffered such a play, and when my opponent started walling off with the supply depot, the image of SlayerS_'BoxeR' came into my mind. Boxer hyung tend to use such strategy, and he even told me of such strategies. Thanks to him, I was able to defend well and take the game. - You have now recorded your 23rd win of the season. Are you satisfied with your record? ▲ I lost too many games, so I will need to win the rest of my games from now on. The target I set at the start of the season was to score 35 wins by the end of the season, and if I want to hit that target, I will even need to play in ace matches and win. I have yet to give up on my goal, so I will do my best in whatever scenario I am in. - Do you like your new uniform? ▲ At first, I was slightly embarrassed to walk in the public because my nickname was at the back of the uniform. But now, I take pride in it and walk around with confidence. Also, I personally want to have a nickname that is cool and has some 'force' in it. I don't like 'Jung Laden' because it cannot be used in the media, and 'Gook Bon' sounds as though I am just a person hiding in the shadows of someone else, so I don't really like it. I want to have a nickname that expresses my individuality. - You will be facing Hwaseung next, followed by Samsung. ▲ Our next match will be the most important one. If we win on that day, we will be benefiting more than just one win, so in Round 5, it'll be the most important match. Samsung is a strong team, but regardless of who we're facing, we are confident that we can defeat them. In our match against Hwaseung, I got my revenge against Jaedong in our previous face-off, so it doesn't really matter if we face each other or not. Also, I am confident that I can win any player from Samsung. I think there isn't anyone in Samsung who can defeat me. - Any final words? ▲ We were able to end today fast and go back quickly, so I feel happy. Also, Canata hyung will be playing in the OSL tomorrow, and since I shook UpMaGiC up today, I think it will help him.

Isn't this actually a pretty humble statement?
They are asking him if he will end with an 80% win rate, he's saying yes, if he breaks his arm and can't play (i.e, that rate wouldn't have a chance to go down.) Seems to me he's implying that he thinks 80% is a very hard rate to keep up, and he doesn't expect to.

I love how S2 implies that thezerg likes 4-pooling ^_^ It's funny because the only thing 4pool beats is a 12-hatch, and 9pool speed beats that so... 4pool is useless.

people, you dont understood
he said that he can keep 80% if he stops playing, or translating, thats its very hard to maintain it.

What that imply wasn't so much that it a match I should of won, but more so as it is a match that I need to win for my team. Pretty much he was admitting he drop the ball on an important match and compliment his opponent on a very well though out strategy and his opponent perfect reading of Bisu's plan. Once again, it was another sign of him trying to be humble actually.

bisu isn't being arrogant, he's implying that a 80% win rate is hard to maintain, and saying that the only way he'll maintain it is if he stops playing
also thanks for the translation

I couldn't stay up for the match because it was at the later time (18:30 KST) but I've just watched the VODs and now I'm reading your translations here! Thanks as usual!
hehe Bisu...what a stud, as usual. I guess he got tired of destroying people straight up and decided to throw some cheese in.
After losses to KTF and WeMade I was getting a bit worried about T1 heading into R5...but this win assuaged my doubts. I'm only sad we didn't get to see BeSt play! He could have used the easy win to boost his confidence heading into his OSL group.
T1 fighting!

Oh hey kona, I have a question about Bisu's "if I break my arm" statement. This statement may have been a bit lost in translation so...do you think, based on the original Korean, Bisu was boasting (i.e. someone would have to break my arm to keep me from winning all of my games and thus staying above 80%) or joking around / being humble (i.e. someone would have to break my arm to keep me from losing some games in the future and thus dropping below 80%)?

it's a joke and didn't mean arrogant.
if I break, if my arm get broken and i can't play any more, it's possible.
as for a comment about a match vs violet
It was a match I could must not lose
The purpose of my 2nd probe was to make sure that my opponent focuses on not letting me scouting his main and do a fake, and for my opponent to buy time to build barracks.
bisu told barracks but i think he actually meant gateways.

Edit: found an explanation, from MrHoon:

HOW DID FANTASY BECOME ASSOCIATED WITH BIN LADEN When Flash got kicked out of OSL (again) from GGplay, everyone in the korean community started saying "THIS IS GOING TO BE A STORK VS GGPLAY FINAL. ITZ GUNNA BE DA BEST FINAL EVVVVAAAARRR" Then Fantasy, iloveoov's apprentice comes out and kicks ggplay out the window. Alot of people were pissed off because iloveoov made this new wtfff mech build and his lab rat will do everything for him. So many koreans were anticipating for a GGplay Stork final. But the koreans were in a dilemma. How can you brand a progamer a "League Breaker" when he barely broke anything? So people started calling him Jung Laden for 'almost ruining' an OSL that could've been the best OSL evvaarrr. This works because Stork is called Commander, so it was kinda played out as a "ZOMG KILL THE TERRORIST/LEAGUEBREAKER" thing.

Okay a few clarifications,
Bisu said that 'arm breaking' as a joke, but it also shows how confident he is in being able to maintain that 80%. He's just like, 'yeah, I won't get 80% win rate if.. I break my arm or (some other accident here)'.
Also, what fw said, I think he meant gateways no barracks lol
|
I guess it's open to interpretation as both cases are likely depending on how Bisu is feeling that day.

Yeah but Koreans tend to use such phrases a lot as a form of joke.. so I'm guessing this is too.

fantasy is really thin
and i can't wait for oz vs skt

let's give credit to bisu for saying that violet made a nice build and violet was always one step ahead of him... i didn't think that he's being arrogant with the 'breaking his arm' comment, it was probably a joke.
but fantasy... wow!!! great confidence there, i hope he won't lose to any khan player (but i'm cheering for stork hehe)

I think that Bisu was being humble, and making a joke. He's saying that the only way he'd be assured of maintaining his current winrate if he didn't play anymore this season, like what would happen if he broke his arm or something.
