He should be fired for pausing when the players didn't request it! Damn game breaking referee.
But then if the ref didn't call that his job would probably be on the line so...

Yea but if you wanna be a rules lawyer you could see it the other way around, he paused a game that shouldn't be paused, right?

Referees are allowed to pause games at their own volition. Like when a game looks like it's heading to a draw, or when T's are playing like retards and wasting battlecruiser fuel instead of actually attacking.

To be honest I think it was a good thing this happened. Although I'm probably not as deeply informed as some of you are, from my observations Kespa has been slowly constricting the e-sport and generally not being beneficial. If everything happened gradually, as it has up until now, it wouldn't provoke such a reaction, but an outrageous incident like this will hopefully cause enough backlash that there will be a change in direction.
If they want SC to become even more successful, observe other spectator sports. While there is some sense in "professionalism", whatever that means, often times drama and such does wonders to boost interest in a sport. Even seeing some emotion/celebration from players can increase appeal by a lot; the audience can appreciate that the effort they put in paid off.

Yeah some players don't even crack a smile when they win. If I was a player finally in individual tournaments, I would be joyful.

What did the MBC commentator say about this?
|
god I type "g" sometimes instead of gg on accident.
This is like dqing a team in basketball for not making a perfect T with their hands to call a timeout

I've always hated Kespa and their bullshit. They're probably bought and payed for by samsung anyway, fucking retards.

ARE YOU SERIOUS???? Sorry, i don't want to insult you, but such comments speak of a lack of intelligence. since when people type with a MONITOR???? You type with a KEYBOARD and ur FINGERS. Nothing else. 95% of the people don't even need EYES to type! They press the buttons on the KEYBOARD with their FINGERS. Even the 5% rest of the people don't need a MONITOR either because they use the EYES to see how often they press which buttons. The most "unskilled" writers can stare at their KEYBOARD and COUNT how often they press a button. still no MONITOR needed at all. To the people who say "spellcheck": .....omg. you know the average reaction time of a human is about 1 second? So do you really think leta types ONE LETTER PER SECOND???? Ofc you type faster than that and you cannot spellcheck every letter before you press the next button, which includes the ENTER BUTTON ! It's almost not possible to stop pressing the enter button when you realize you have pressed one "p" too much. The MONITOR DOESNT MATTER AT ALL !!!!! Thats why you often see "i go to shcool" "*school". Because the message is already sent when you realize you fucked up a word, if its the last word in a sentence. And in Leta's case it even was the last LETTER of his message ! Also i've read: Show nested quote +To think I use to think hockey refs made bad calls At least they don't disqualify a team for asking for a timeout improperly I don't understand these kespa rules they seem to only allow referees to get some screen time. Are dq's sexy in Korea? ....DUDE, WHY ARE YOU LYING????? KeSPA DIDN't DQ THE WHOLE TEAM !!!!!! JUST ONE PLAYER !!! I hate it SO MUCH when people fucking LIE and state WRONG INFO or stupid comments which all don't matter just to exaggerate a situation. Please stop that..... Also i just read: Show nested quote +On April 28 2009 21:50 Carnac wrote: Assuming the translation is accurate they just say it wasn't displaying visuals clearly and not that he wasn't able to see anything, so it must have been blurry or flickering or w/e. He must still have seen what he typed. I'm not saying it isn't stupid to DQ him, but it's still important to note. This again fucks up all this stupid monitor comments, BUT don't even think about this point now. The reasons i mentioned above are 100% enough to clarify, why this monitor comments are stupid and useless. So i don't expect much constructive replies to this but IF you want to reply, DO NOT mention this last point like "oh ok it wasn't clear the monitor was just flickering, so thats why i posted that" because thats not the reason i posted this.
Wow, you make an idiot of yourself there. Good job. I think this is just idiotic. Its a single missing letter. Goddammit KeSPA, why wont you just die and cepljenje karanje gore pro sc.

man kespa sucks balls
this shouldn't even be a real issue

Dear MasterRey,
Please stop posting. That post was fucking garbage, and i do not wish to read it again.
Thank you.

Kespa is a brain damaged organization. They can't even use common sense.

There are rules and there are the spirit of the rules. Is the spirit of the rules to kill starcraft as a sport. The purpose of rules is not to empower the referee to be a dickhead or enforce the rules for sake of the rules. It's not like he typed something to derail the proces or confuse anyone, he made a typo. The application of this rule wasn't in anyones interest. The referee did the right thing to save his job he cannot be blamed. He probably knew resuming the game was the right thing to do but he was bound by his profession. It is unfortunate and Kespa has to re-evaluate their rules. These rules miss their intended purpuse of fair play and common sence..
The rules have to chance but also have to be concise so the interpretation cannot be questioned.

next thing u know they will get disqualified for typing "PPP" or "pPP" instead of "ppp"
|
wow.... seriously Kespa has lost all respect.

joke of the season - well done Kespa
