Make sure you have the latest video drivers. Also make sure you have cpu throttling turned on.

It helps for me by putting SCBW on high/realtime priority in task manager. Also, don't leave your browser open or any video previews of your stream.
By the way, is anyone having problem with stream lagging once in a while? I get these spikes for all people watching, but the video itself is intact and fine when I watch it after it's been live. I've tried playing around with lower bitrate and such, but the problem remains the same. Can anyone help?
Some viewers said there was a patch for this issue, but I somehow doubt it...

Thanks for the guide. I'm not using it for SC, but things are working as they should

I'm not really knowledgeable on the camtasia 5 setup though. Do you have the techsmith codec?

Not sure what you mean by that; I followed your instructions although some parts differed due the the versions.

I'd go with 4.02 if I were you... I was also stubborn and tried to set up it with camtasia 5, but after countless hours of bugs and problems I switched to 4 and it actually worked. Not saying it's the same thing for you but it might be worth trying.

Has anyone had any luck with 5.0.2 and Vista?

The reason why Camtasia works and other capture programs do not is because the TechSmith Capture Codec is the only capture codec that works with BW. If you use another codec, you get the exact problem you're experiencing now.

Has the livestream stuff gotten easier? It seems like I don't even need to use FMLE.

my Adobe flash ecoder program cant find my camtasia 4 or 6
what do i do?
windows xp
|
Well first of all Morrow, Camtasia 6 doesn't work with Adobe.
Are you using Adobe Flash Media Encoder 3? I would try reinstalling Camtasia and make sure you are using the version flash has posted, or you can use 3, I know it works fine as well (used to use that version myself).

my friend said camtasia 6 was ok with windows xp
where do i download right version of camtasia?
LINK PLEASE
and yes its adobe 3

Did you reboot after installing Camtasia? You need to (like mentioned). If FMLE cant find it, your virtual driver didn't get installed. Reinstall Camtasia then.

I don't know if anybody tried this, but currently I'm just using manycam. Basically what you do is just install camtasia and manyCam. (it's free btw) Once that's done, you run manyCam and choose your source (set it to full desktop) and then when you open livestream.com, it will stream it for you right away, you just have to chose the manycam camera (no need to run anything else but manyCam and your browser)
It was easier for me to get it working this way, but I didn't check whether the quality was better or not and how to control when it's recording or not, but it seems to work fine.
