The 5 pool was a great idea! JD wouldn't regret a BO that actually was about to work. He just screwed up by backing away from the all-in. Skyhigh's micro wasn't good enough, and he lost his first 2 marines to JD's first 6 lings. That right there should have been gg, if JD had reinforced his lings. Instead he started making more drones, expanded, didn't even build a sunken, and got ling speed. He screwed himself over, even after he was about to win it with a 5 pool.

Anyone think that the lecaf head coach made jaedong throw the game.
Coach:since your going to all kill if u don't throw the 4th game just 5pool and lose, so that the other players can get some exp and level up, don't worry there is no way that out of the entire lecaf team, only you can win a game.

(Z)Jaedong: k time to 5pool and lose

The elimination challenge though felt little staged since it was all about one round, but things like that can happen so who knows.
Only real downside it had was the "VS AI" isolation challenge, should have been bo3 or single match games where everyone plays eachother and count the total scores.

Hopefully the quality increases even further in following episodes.

Can people please stop saying "this was staged" and take my word on this: NONE of the challenges real life / isolation / elimination were staged _at all_

You can't tell me that it isn't a stage. And you were playing the real life Rock Band challenge on a stage...do you think I'm an idiot? They even say "please leave the stage" at the end. We know what's really going on here.

"I want to give good experience to the newcomers, hence I sent out Effort and Skyhigh for game 1 and 4 respectively."

Such bullshit! The guy who all killed was just there to "gain experience"?! When CJ sends out a newbie, the newbie usually puts up a decent performance and actually wins half the time. Darkelf a couple of PLs ago spring to mind, and so does nbs against Luxury. CJ's coach always sells himself short. Either he's sending out newbies to gain experience and manages to motivate them enough to play well, or he knows the players are capable of more than outsiders give them credit for. Either way, he's amazing.

Same can be said for Hwaseung sending out Young and Spear though.

Thanks for the trans. I was very disappointed when I watched the 3-1 switch into a reverse all kill by skyhigh, but there were some excellent games in there. Poor Spear, and full props to Skyhigh, that was magnificent.

And lol, is this fanboy fanaticism coming out? LJD's my favorite player, but let's face it, he lost on an all in build because of a couple sloppy mistakes. He just swept KTF and 3-1'd CJ, he's allowed to make some mistakes now and again.

The reason for sending protosses so aggressively?
▲ Up til now, the Jaedong-Hiya combo pulled our team a long way. But in Round 4, there will be a limit to how far they can pull us though. Therefore, to get our protosses to get used to everything, I sent them out. In Young's case, the build and strategy was off and didn't suit Skyhigh's build and led to his loss, which he was very unhappy about. I hope he will develop further through this loss. In Spear's case, he was too nervous, which I believe led to his poor gameplay. I will try my best to guide him further so that he'll perform better in Round 4.

so coach sends out his inexperienced players in the championship. this guy has the easiest job in starcraft and he can't squeeze out just one more win.

I'm new to this, and so I don't really understand the format. Do the coaches have to decide the lineup before the match? If not, why did they sacrifice savior to Jaedong? Here you have a player who can potentially eat up any protoss or terran, but is known to be weak at ZvZ. Seems to make little sense to waste him on the best zvz player of all time..

No, that's different. When Young and Spear went out, the way they played really was to "gain experience". When Skyhigh went up to play... there's no way someone playing like that is just "gaining experience".

Either that or CJ is just fucking scary... an all kill to them is just a new guy just gaining experience. God help their opponents when they really want to win.

None of these guys are actually newbies. They're playing televised games in Korea. Effort and Skyhigh have been dominant in Proleague, winning games against name brand players and Spear has been playing televised games since the end of 2006.

CJ is a better team overall imho and they deserve the title.. seriously the rest of Oz can't call themselves champions if Jeadong keeps all-kill-ing..

I guess Oz was caught off guard with Jeadong's loss and all was lost!

I am soooo pissed at OZ... LJD is pimpin, swept KTF and took 3 kills on CJ...
and no one else on his team can win 1 game against (T)sKyHigh.
I will say that yes, Skyhigh is 10th in ELO ranking, but...
I'd have to say, Oz will look a lot better once MustacheZerg, PirateZerg, and OzSucksBallsWithoutMe join the team.
but really, has anyone REALLY been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

I wonder how Jaedong is like in real life. I am literally scared of his face every time he comes out. He looks like he could shoot lasers out of his eyes and cut through steel walls. If anyone deserves a bonjwa title, it's him and only him right now.
