Where: YK Internet Café 5582 Yonge St. It is located just south of Yonge & Finch. Look for the Xerox building (it’s right on Yonge & Finch) which is just north of YK, and Shopper’s Drug Mart which is right next to YK. It is 1 min away from the Finch GO Station if you’re planning on taking public transit.
What: Same thing as last time. Bring your own mouse/keyboard if you wish. Bring headphones since they only have speakers. We’ll be meeting at noon to eat lunch somewhere (tbd) and go for 5 hours starting from 1, eat dinner, and go for a few more hours.
Cost: Lunch/dinner should be under $10 each. I should be able to get the member discount again at YK so it should be $10 for 5 hours iirc. You must return your card before leaving otherwise there will bans!+ Show Spoiler +
and a charge for missing cards.
We will be eating korean food for lunch and dinner is undecided.
I'm planning on having a proper tourney this time around. Winner gets free dinner on me
I will be picking people up at the Meadowvale GO Station and Meadowvale Town Center in Mississauga like I did for the Waterloo LAN. If anyone else is driving and can give other TL members a ride, please post in the thread so we can set up pick-up points for guys who need a ride. If you need any clarification or want to discuss anything, pm me for my msn. I hope the turnout this time is as good as our last LAN
I'm going to assume everyone is interested in joining us for lunch and dinner as well as be playing in the tournament. PM me if you want to opt out of any of them.
Also we're talking about finding a pub for dinner for post-battle beers + food. Although that seems to be a little difficult in Koreatown. I love Korean food, but twice in one day seems like a little much!
I dream of cheap soju ($20 per bottle @ restaurants wtf). I may be able to give rides from the east end of markham depending on how much I intend to drink.
I'll probably dodge since there's a big tournament in Hamilton on the 28th and then an SF4 tournament in Kitchener on the 29th, as well as UW tournaments on the 25th and 26th, and Warrior Weekends on the 27th-27th too.
Overall, there's just way too much stuff going on around that time. =/
Aerials is comingggggggggggggggggg. I can drive people, but if there are multiple people, you guys all have to meet at the same spot. I live in Etobicoke (dixon and islington to be exact)

Yea I'll let Dawn and infinity handle dinner plans Oh that place looks pretty close - like 6 blocks isn't bad. I'm looking at the menu, food seems like standard terrible bar food which is good for us and it's pretty cheap (like $8.50 for a meal). This is good because Aerials' $8.50 split 20 ways is like something I can find in my pocket lint!
- We'll probably need a reservation so we should have a plan ahead of time and an approximate headcount. - We'll have some underage people so we need somewhere that doesn't ID at the door. - Walking distance is nice so we don't have to take subways and people don't have to move their cars.
man I want to come so badly. For one i've never been to a Lan and it sounds fun, and two I've never had korean food before or pho so it would be pretty interesting to try. Put me down on the tentative list for now, when I find out how much work I have to do in the next few weeks I will let you know.

Put me down for maybe, I can also drive people if I come. I'll be coming from Mississauga. I MIGHT be able to get free parking in the area for people who need it as I work at 5775 Yonge street.
I work in the building that is right above the GO/Viva station (5775) at an online advertising company CX Digital Media. I live at Erin Mills Parkway and Britannia right in between Meadowvale GO and Streetsville GO. I don't mind picking up people if they are downtown. Ill get back to you sooner when I know if I'm coming for sure or not.

Where is the free parking? I know there's a Shoppers behind but I'm worried I might get ticketed if I leave my car there all day.
There is a small parking space for maybe 4-5 cars behind YK and the other restaurant, karaoke etc. There should be at least 2-3 parking spaces available.

Kinda my fault.. I insisted on playing the finals and it made us late for St. Louis. We lost our reservation spot and they said they didn't want our dirty money anyways, so we stormed out and went to look for another restaurant, which took forever and the food was terrible imo.

Well, you kind of have a point. To me, the difference between authentic Korean food (or even a shot at getting it right) and some random stuff is pretty big. But it's not like the non-authentic food always tastes bad, it just tastes different.

The first place was actually good, the second place was shit. When I say it was shit, I'm actually rather serious I would recommend you all to recommend all those you know to never go there again. There are many better places for korean food near there, though they are usually busy and unable to accommodate 17 people. I recommend Shanghai house (korean name, i dunno what the english name is) personally as they have the best fried rice ever.
If the april meetup ever happens, I'll look up some nice restaurants.
as an added bonus to me actually appearing this time ^ ^, since i suck ass at sc, and will be corrupting the leetness I will pay for the dinner/lunch of who ever gets second place.
i can just imagine infinity not paying for first place lunch/dinner and everyone trying to get 2nd place for free food XD
