Hi, this is just a small selection of maps from broodwarmaps.net to show off. Voices4 won Map of the Month for June, and Spinel Valley 3.0 will win Map of the Month July as soon as we conclude it. Dread Core will likely win Map of the Month for August if the inactivity rate remains the same. Sound Barrier won Map of the Month for October of 2007. The original version of Moon Tear won Map of the Month for June of 2007. Korhal Pride looks to take second place in July's Map of the Month competition.

The cliffing opportunities on Sound Barrier are just ridiculous.

TvT on that map would be dope... which is a rare thing TvT ^^;;

Sound Barrier is no more cliffable than Othello. In Othello every nat and 3rd gas expo is cliffable. You can reach the nat cliff with small units only. You can expo to an un-cliffable main in Othello, but you can expo to the lowground gas expo here, which is barely if at all cliffable by a very accessible cliff from your nat. The corner cliffs and cliffs at 3/9 are harder to get to than the 3rd gas cliffs in Othello, with 3/9 being accessible by a normal ramp, and the nat cliffs are far more accessible via a normal ramp in your nat. Yes there are lots of cliffs, but the only cliffs you can't get to are in the corners, out of the way, with the accessible ones being more accessible than usual, you can respond to them fairly easily, and/or place static defense there or something.

I don't know about balance, but Sound Barrier looks the sexiest

Wow... Moon Tear 2 looks really nice as well as Voices which I always liked... Moon Tear 2 looks like it would kind of bring back the low eco style play even with the easily gotten 3rd (but it's hard to defend). It's got the cliffable nat and third and min only natural which was key for low eco and seen in maps like Nostalgia... does the map still utilize the high / low ground from main to nat?

Moon Tear II looks fucking awesome

I've seen so many maps come from BWMN that were at least on par with, if not better than, the pro maps that were being used at the time they were made. If only we could somehow pick a couple good ones and get them into an OSL or something...
Honestly, it's getting pretty boring watching the pros macro up and go at it on Andromeda, Othello, Byzantium, Return of the King, Athena, etc -- especially when I could be seeing them play something interesting like Sound Barrier. Blue Storm is the only relatively creative map in recent memory that I've liked.
In fact, I'm sick of all this fast expanding crap. BLOOD BATH FOR THE NEXT STARLEAGUE

these are all very good maps yes

every expo is interesting as well, I would like to see pros play on it

I really like the look of Dread Core, personally

All look interesting, i'll try em out.

any of you having played the maps PLZ comment the balance/bugs here.

Me and Testbug were working on Voices last night, we've been finding lots of silly little things and fixing them. The little things are important, so anything you guys can find that's kind of annoying is probably something we can and should fix.

What the fuck? The images no longer appear here or in the Foreign Map for TSL2 thread, but the images are fine on bwm :O
edit: They appear now that I removed the spoiler, but why did they suddenly stop showing up when they did at first, with nothing being changed :O
