in future if you don't want to rename them, in the open prompt for VLC there should be a use subtitles file or an advanced box for selecting the file with.

-Was subtitle too long?
-Was it too fast?
-Did it capture the excitement?

The subtitle was perfect
It wasn't too fast or too slow.
It captured all the excitement of the game and the commenters
