popular streamer KOREAN Terror, who runs C9 StarCraft Crew (You may know it as team that had Bisu,SoulKey, FlaSh), is in massive debt as he blew money on illegal overseas gambling in the Philippines in 2024. He borrowed money from a major donor at an insane 10% weekly interest rate to fund it.
His financial ruin accelerated in 2025 when he was hit with a $4.5 million tax penalty where he borrowed millions from his streamer buddies to keep it plugged.
It became worse and he borrowed $350k from a big donator who in exchange took 5% of C9 income. That donator introduced him to company that lead to deal for $1.5m loan to pay off his debts, but the funds never arrived.
As a result, he couldn't pay the girl streamers in his streaming crew, leading one of them to expose the situation publicly. This lead to Terror announced he will turn himself over to the police for his illegal gambling activities and debt situation.
Currently, he's well over $7m in debt and his C9 sc uni crew disbanded, leaving Bisu, Hyuk, YooN, SoO, 910, Free, MC, and Shuttle out of uni. (Thanks @einx6156 for more info below)
Yes, Terror is huge streamer, often getting 20-40k+ viewers regularly. Yes, he can pay those debts off if he at any point, stopped and screwed his head on since he clearly generates enough to have $4.5m in taxes alone. But he was type to instantly gamble everything away as soon as money came in and was buying his kid $5k parrot, 20k ring for his girlfriend while in huge debt and not paying it back.
EDIT : I thought about it and this was a really stupid thing for me to say, fuck the 5K parrot and damn it TerrOr... Make the money all back and get all these people paid / handle this shit situation, BW is growing again and it sucks to hear news like this. Fix it TerrOr just fix it!
Love it that we're looking at Terror with $7m debt, potentialy going to jail, while Flash also blowing millions for his buddy as well, and the main focus of this thread is the parrot lol.
On a side note, BSL is struggling to crowd fund 5k every season. If only some of us can be buddies with these guys...
FlaSh is such a good friend paying Terror's debts like he doesn't want to bank minerals.
He also confirmed my assumption while I was gone; that FlaSh is basically the Magnus Carlsen of BW and doesn't need to enter leagues to prove he is still the best. Except he has an injured wrist.
He can always take a ferry from Busan to Fukuoka and take the train anywhere to where he can get treatment in Japan.
If nothing else, a lot of free agent streamers are now available with C9 disbanding...
Shuttle has plenty of cachet/popularity, wonder if he might be able to start a university... Bisu, like Flash says, is definitely not suitable for leading things
So Flash's closest friend is a criminal. Makes sense. You know what i find interesting? Most of these illegal gambling schemes are ran by Zerg and Terran players. Just another proof that the most honorable people are playing Protoss.
