Before we go on I'd like to first give a big shoutout to our fantastic sponsors who make this all possible. - esport.fund!: https://esport.fund - Matcherino: https://matcherino.com/tournaments/37312/overview - Finally our supporters on Patreon and the people who have donated previously or will do on Matcherino.
Without you all we wouldn't be able to keep growing the STPL the way we are. The more the STPL grows the more money will go straight back to the community and the more prizes we can give out so thank you so much for all your support. Also please a huge amount of thanks to the teams, team captains and the players who take part as without them I wouldn't have anyone to host tournaments for!
Season 3 lead to some of the best games and series we've had in the STPL so far. The finals ended in a 5-1 victory for SouL but had a few of the games gone ever so slightly differently we came very close to having another ace match final. We had a few unfortunate situations in the previous season with WHITECLAN dropping out, vT essentially dying half way through and eF having issues as well, but we made it! This season we not only have Clan Wico joining us who initially joined and split from vT, but we also have the return of both NaS and pSi who played in both Season 1 and 2 and that rounds out our amazing roster of foreign teams. eF, BuLL and vT have dropped out/not signed up again due to the issues they had in previous seasons, but we're looking to have a very strong season. The map contest lead to some amazing maps and I'm extremely excited to be able to show them off to you this season!
SouL are triple champions, is anyone ever going to be able to take them down in a finals?

As a viewer I wholeheartedly agree with this statement.

I understand why you feel that way, but in teamleagues that's how it usually ends up anyway. Proleague had 3 teams who were always the more favoured to win, then there was the second layer teams and the third layer teams. You look at BWCL and you have a similar thing there with iRk and SouL now both making the finals twice in a row.
I think if we continue on I'd be happy to look at divisions, but it's a lot of work to organise something like that for just one person and I definitely wouldn't be able to cast everything by myself. I think at least that we've had some really exciting games and exciting matches across the tournaments so far and I hope one day that we can grow big enough to mean every team who takes part can get something back - that's my goal and im slowly working towards that :>
Also it excites me to say that Irradiar has agreed to do some casting in Spanish as well, he's going to be casting some matches each week - I'll do all of them still in English but he'll be helping out where he can there! <3

yeah.. watching some upsets from time to time is nice and all, but I think this solution would be the best for the league.
Qikz, are you planning on getting some cocaster for english streams or you gonna cast alone? Would be nice to have some support, especially during longer matches.
Regarding banning Koreans, I don't think I'm ever going to do that for as long as STPL continues. STPL started and will continue to be a league open to everyone, because BWCL already exists to be for just non koreans. I think as the STPL has gone on the non korean teams have done better and better against the Korean ones and I can only see that getting better. Season 4 for instance has 6 brand new maps, everyone is starting from a clean slate there and if there's any way you're going to get upsets it's by being better prepared and there's lots of unexplored possibilities in the new maps to take advantage of.
Regarding a co-caster, for now I'm going to continue co-casting. I couldn't sit and ask anyone to cast for free especially given the time investment and the people I'd most like to cast with wouldn't be able to given the time difference and the fact I cast on weekdays to avoid tournaments like BSL and also to give people stuff to watch during the week. There's not many casters in the scene and those that are are all busy doing their own tournaments and own things and I wouldn't want to ask people to dedicate time to something that I can't pay them for, it's not fair.

some don't have rosters or are very outdated. also there's a lot of players on some of the team wikis. not sure who is actually going to play or not. will this info be made available later? part of what makes team leagues so fun is seeing everyone on the roster and pondering how they plan their lineups. would love a post about the active roster list later, so we know who's actually going to participate. cheers!

It would be great, Let's see if we all cheer up and make a good prize pool.

TBH I find updating and creating new wiki pages in the liquipedia very frustrating. I had the plan to fill with more information on team pSi but the content management system is very user-UNfriendly.
If someone wants to support our page and is willing to do the effort needed for such an endeavor I can provide content.

Frankly it's quite simple and there is a style guide...

Some of those links might need to be fixed - shouldn't be STX SouL at the very least and NW I think have a different page. I'll update those in a sec!
In terms of who is planning their lineups essentially the STPL Roster is the whole Teams roster that has been submitted and anyone should be available to play which is great. If you've followed the STPL previously or check the previous seasons on Wiki it should give you a good idea of who might play for each teams :D
