Uh, that's not really true. It's not possible to automatically port forward. Pretty sure the game is now forwarding traffic through their dedicated server, and the server itself is "port forwarded". They can also possibly be using natpunchthrough, or a combination of both (dedicated server fallback).
Anyways, anyone know what the latest patch was? Can't seem to find any patch notes. Some hotfix for 1.18.8 it seems.

I play on EU and only join games with green bars, in every other game i get sub 40 latency, here its always laggy... anyone got a tip?

Actually it first checks if it can use p2p, then it tries to open the port via UPNP and if that also fails, the game gets hosted on the server. I would say you should open the port for minimal lag if that’s possible for you.
I see. Thanks for the info. I did get a friend of mine to open the port to experiment but the lag still stayed the same. Ah well. All we do is comp stomp anyway so I guess I'll see if I can use a virtual lan, like Hamachi back in the days.

You can play campaign and LAN with Vista, but not Battle.net. You'll need to get 7 or 10 to do that.

I have gotten kind of used to it now is seems after playing for a couple of days, but I wondered if this is a known issue in this new patch or just me not remembering how old BW is?
It feels weird.

I have this slight laggy feeling on 1.18 too, dont have it on 1.16.

Is fullscreen mode suppose to ignore aspect ratio?
I've played in windowed fullscreen and that works fine, but trying out fullscreen stretches out the game to fit my wide screen

that might easily be just your monitor, as it might have different positioning settings per resolution.
try auto-alignment on your monitor.

Yeah unfortunately same problem here too and i tried all the suggested stuff in this post.
Hope this will be fixed some day... until then i will continue playing on iccup. I am not that active anyway.

I can't use the regular patch, don't run on my computer. The Public Test runs but when I try battle.net all it says is "Conecting..." I want to buy broodwar again so i can get a cd key and run Monikon's BW because all I have is my game code from the blizzard store. Would buying the expansion alone, brood war, provide me with the key I need?
