I think Blizzard will release BW HD and /or an updated version Win 10 fully compatible of the game before Shield Battery comes out for everyone..

If BW:HD will be what I think, then it will be like an extended screen. Everything will look smaller, and more of the map will fit inside the screen. Sort of what Age of Empires:HD did.
Win10 compatibility sounds good, but I don't think BW:HD could make Shield Battery less relevant.

And I hope BW:HD does not come with some stupid rebalancing patch.

And yes, I'm patiently waiting for my invite as well.

That would affect the game too much imo -_-; It would certainly cause a divide in the community. There have been countless threads about it, and thankfully we haven't heard anything concrete yet, meaning we can't know for sure how Blizzard is planning to fuck it up. I plan to not expect or hope for anything, which is why SB in hand is worth 100 BW HDs in the future.

all we saw was a korean clickbait article that had "rumors" that Blizzard will do a Broodwar HD remaster. It said more info will come later in September, which obviously didnt happen.

At Diablo forums theyve been hyped up because its a 20 year anniversary for diablo, but I'm not so sure about Broodwar. Blizz hasnt said anything yet, and if news happens for broodwar it will be at Blizzcon next month.

Nonetheless, even if remaster came out I highly doubt it's gonna inlcude the features that Shieldbattery provides.

Lets just wait and find out.

I think all we're going to get from Blizzard is compatibility to run on new systems, like the patches that were done to Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3 in the last few months. I like the direction that ShieldBattery is going though, since I just want to play BW with friends that played back in the day without port forwarding.
