After a few tests I get as close as possible at SB sensitivity to 0 and one point up at the windows settings, still its not the same. Iam somewhat glad you have the same issue. Putting the sensitivity to 5 and disable "maintain aspect ratio" improved it quite a bit. I have compared it a couple of times but it is still slow and clunky to some degree.

I tried that, Its better with my settings, pretty playable tho its not the same as normal. Maybe if they can make SB sensitivity settings with more points for precise tuning we might get the original movement without twitching windows ones.

To anyone bitching about invites.
They choose people based on the system that you filled.
- OS - Graphics Cards - Issues you are having with current system (ICCUP / BNET / FISH... etc)
They invite group each time to test certain functionalities. Once they confirm everything is smooth and the system is ready for another group, they invite it. The new group usually aims to test functionalities that could not be tested in the first phase whether due to not enough load on the system or the current group were not able to test certain functionalities.
Hopefully we won't see more bitching. Bah who am I kidding. I just wasted my time typing all of this.

Blizz and other companies do the same thing - spread their beta access across as many unique hardware and software configurations as possible.

Maaan, I fucking have laptops with XP, 7, 8; 3 different graphics cards, one laptop with dual cards; I can host without problem. Also my BW is legal , I can play on battle.net with my own CD key. What else I need to have?
So, don't you please tell me that is the issue. We all saw that they invite ppl who signed to TL before '10.

Hello, I have a bit of trouble creating or joining at the moment. When I try either of them I get this message:
The following problems need to be corrected before you can play games on ShieldBattery:
Couldn't connect to the local ShieldBattery service. Ensure that you've downloaded the latest installer here and completed the installation process. If this does not resolve the issue, try restarting your computer.
I have an SSD and a hard drive, and have tried installing to both. I have also restarted, but I get the same message.

If you honestly believe they are doing invites based on system specs, please lol.

Okay, I don't believe they do that. They totally favorite their friends and TL staff more than anyone else. At the end of the day. It is their system and they choose who will enter or not. Tec is paying for it with his own money. So I really don't give a damn who gets in and who is not.
I have ICCUP to play on and I have some friends to hang out with over there.

We do, in fact, utilize provided system/software specs when choosing people to invite, along with a randomness factor. The people that were testing initially (before the announcement) were largely Brood War staff members and people that I interact with a lot, but that has not been true of the later waves. I don't know and have pretty much never interacted with probably ~80% of the server population at this point. A number of them don't even have TL accounts.
There's not some grand conspiracy against you; I'm sorry the dice rolls didn't go in your favor. Maybe next time.

I registered in 2008 and I have nothing, so yeah, it doesn't mean anything.

Honestly it's nothing much right now... it's a cool new way to play bw through a browser but I've only seen like max 25 users online (yes I realize it is in the very early stages at this point) and there is no rank system yet so don't get too anxious. It's kind of just a lobby with tl broodwar players at this point
