Wierd to see FlaSh lose, he had free down on one base for a long time and Free never ran out of money for interceptors and kept making units. Not sure if flash was also caught off guard and that's why he didn't defend his 4th, or if he really felt he needed all tanks for defense against free. He really dominated for 80% of that game, but it all slipped away the last 7 or 8 minutes. Flash v Hero - Expected FlaSh to roll easy, and he pretty much did. Denied the third initially, damaged Hero's second attempt at a third, and then basically suffocated him. Hero was able to defend fairly well, but ran out of steam and I guess cracked finally at the end...little unclear why he GGed quite then. Maybe he had just run out of units in key positions and knew he was going to lose an important base/bases? G1 FvE - Typical stuff from EffOrt. Nice job with ling diversion to get a few in and get some scv kills. Flash handled it well but EffOrt still got scouting and 3 or 4 scv kills. Pretty typical with the muta. Open a whole at the bottom turret, then bounce in and out killing scv. Sexy hold at the ramp, with more of the usual effort cleverness. Attacked his own eggs for bounce damage knowing he couldn't attack the marines directly or the stack would die. Some tense moments at the bottom, but EffOrt with a really good decision to make muta allows him to hold his natural. Took some damage though. After that complete domination by EffOrt, FlaSh never got anywhere, tried to get some stuff set up at bottom right but then EffOrt just destroys all of that while simultaneously getting some ultras over to FlaSh's 4th/5th and forcing a lift. With no map present EffOrt set up over 9000 dark swarms cutting FlaSh off from reinforcing 4th/5th, sends in a few ultra/lurks and gee gee from there. My only takeaway here is "Jesus Christ EffOrt is fucking good". The shit he comes up with, regular micro tricks, and lategame decision making is just beautiful to behold. I was watching ZerO vs FlaSh the other day, and it was really noticeable the difference between EffOrt and ZerO. Obviously both are damn good, but EffOrt was noticeably better. More relaxed, less chaotic movement on screen, units always seem to be in better positions to be able to do what is neccessary, etc. G2 FvE - Flash same build as last game. Rax CC Rax Gas Ebay Acad 2x Rax. EffOrt lings slightly out of position let Flash get in a nice SCV scout. Unlike last game FlaSh able to get out on the map before the Muta have forced him to come back and defend the home base. Looks like he will deny the third this game. Or not...because EffOrt is some kind of genius and kills off all the medics and then cleans up with muta ling and morphing lurkers. Almost identical position now to last game. More typical EffOrt with muta flyby into the main for some SCV kills. But Flash gets some tanks over to EffOrt's third and is able to break through...but almost suicded everything not realizing EffOrt has stacked lurks on top and expecting there to be just one lurker left. Flash seems to have opted for making a significant amount more MnM before transitioning over to full mech. Damn. Even with like 5 vessels EffOrt is swarming his way down from his cross third towards FlaSh's own third. Managing to force the CC to lift. Flash has min only but only 2 gas for the moment. EffOrt almost overextending and losing his 4th but gets some swarm lurks down the ramp in time. Flash back to mining 9'. FlaSh really putting intense pressure on EffOrts 4th base. Either EffOrt is about to crack, or a bunch of ultraling are going to show up. Effort mostly cracks. A few ultras, but not enough to make a significant difference and Flash finally breaks through. FvE G3 - Meh. Back to FS. Rax Factory from flash. Maybe valks. Yep armory, valkonic time. Valk assisted drop to third! Third ded. LOL FlaSh is not used to this stack lurker burrowing. Keeps thinking they should be dead but their is one more under there. Effort cleans up flashs stuff at Efforts former third. Ling surround while Flash was elsewhere kills flashes remaining MnM as he begins mass vulture. Starts mining up outside Efforts nat as Flah starts to mine his third. Tanks begin and Flash starts setting up outside EffOrt's nat after a scan reveals Effort has lowground 4th (3rd?). Haha nice, this game Flash calls EffOrts bluff on the drop and ignores Effort's 4 OL fake drop. Scan reveals a buttload of Queens hanging out at EffOrt's 4th. Hydra Queen coming up for EffOrt. With that support EffOrt moves Flash's army away from it's camped locations outside zerg bases. FlaSh elects to set up camp outside both his original natural and distant natural. LOTS of turrets going up mid map. Effort is attempting to take 6' base now. Doesn't look like it will work as Flash is able to send tanks to both sides, though on second thought EffOrt is having none of that and sends in Queen/Hydra to clear FlaSh back to his half. FlaSh responds by pressure EffOrt's 12' and sending a bunch of tanks down to secure 6' for himself, as well as taking center. EffOrt decides he has had enough of FlaSh's shit at 12' and a wave of red sweeps out everything around 6. Ultras make their way into the center for forcing a run. And suddenly flash has swarm outside of his natural and most of his tankline is gone. Effort sowing some chaos, but Flash re-establishing and takes the moment to go back up to 12', where this go round EffOrt lacks defense and lays down a gg. FvE G4 - Back to CB. 4 rax play from FlaSh. Like last CB game Flash on the map quick, and Effort doesn't even attempt to take 3rd. FlaSh sense counter and hangs out up the ramp in case of muta/ling...which shows itself but doesn't run in. Effort gives up about 2 groups of lings, but gets 2 tanks in exchange. Firebats seen for the first time! Lol Effort gets the third tank. Flash lets out a sigh. As in G2 EffOrt starts harrassing the heck out of Flash's 3rd. Slightly late vults allow a defiler to put down swarms at Flashs third...but lots of mines are planted in between. Effort NEARLY gets a lurker in there, but flash with some excellent vulture blocking is able to shut that down. Swarm lurker drop at third. And guardians. Uh oh for EffOrt, defilerless 4th base seen from Flash who takes the opportunity to move in and get the nat nydus. 4th quickly killed and he heads up into the third. Nydus at third also dies. Probably game. Guardians clean up third for the moment, but big wave of reinforcements coming. EffOrt is harassing several of Flashes bases..but doesn't have what it takes to stop reinforcements. Looks like he will play a little longer to stop Flashes mining, but don't see it happening. Or...he will gg. FlaSh 3-1. ----------------------------------------------------- Nice turnaround by FlaSh. He looked helpless against EffOrt in the first game, but other than a brief moment in the third game looked pretty EffOrtless (heh heh) as he cruised to victory in the other three. Probably FlaSh pretty satisfied with his day, though given who he is... I could be wrong with that. It takes a certain drive to be the player FlaSh is, and 4-2 might not get it done.

imo it's pretty amazing that Flash is able to defeat Effort like this so soon after being back to BW, but ofc his skills must be tough from SC2

Maybe it's time to put fighting spirit aside? The 65 win percentage for terran will get even more out of hand with Flash now :D Or maybe all the BJs DO have gotten "lazy" in their training and motivation (difficult to judge without actually being at that level of play). If so, the return of Flash might raise the bar again. Which would be very exciting!

Should we mention that Flash production was basically unstoppable in all games and in late game he was constantly floating close under 200 supply which I think helped him to keep constant pressure and win. He always had that backup units somewhere rolling in. This is nice, setting new standards for other players.
