iris followed up with his build orders very very well and as hot_bid has said in the other thread we're posting in, iris did push savior harder than ever and played a very very aggressive game, while attacing with this main army, dropping dropships everywhere, spread 2 groups of marines one to expo one to main etc | ||

My guess is that Iris shift clicked on the mineral patch until waypoint is full. But then... i duno how long that would make the marines stay still. And I duno how those 2 marines lived in the first place. I swear i thought i was trippin when i saw it. It seemed like some replay bug. | ||

I was called "clueless" for thinking that Iris had a good chance to beat Zergman, but well, aside from ChoJJa who's the only player to have ever managed to beat Savior in a bo5 (2x actually), Iris today becomes the player to have come the closest to beating Savior in a bo5, ever. Neither Midas, Hwasin, Oov, Nada, or Boxer, has come this close to besting Savior in a bo5 series. Iris is as a consistent player as it can get, perhaps the most consistent T of all time. | ||

One really close moment was when iris attacked the 7'oclock expo and savior had to superspeed consume his drones. There it was ovious savior had to pull everything possible outta his hat. Btw. once he won it was good to see some really happy emotions from savior. He definitly gained some carisma points there, cause that's what people want to see. Strong players giving themself an awesomefight. And that he just jumped outta his booth to iris (camera still tought he's in his own booth lol) to walk over to his teammate was a nice gesture even tough iris was extremly pissed. His "znah go away"-gesture was priceless. GG savior well played. | ||

He had 2 Semifinals in 2 days one after another...he was exhausted as hell...he had to beat 2 T's on T>Z maps and those terrans were practising a lot more than him...and HE did it.... And the fact that the last game was CLOSE just proves one more time how mighty Savior is... NaDa won all his OSL finals vs Z's 3:0 This time he won't manage to do it....or not win at all. | ||

If there is ONE thing Iris is probably the best pro at, it's timing attacks. I think he showed that a very well timed rush with strong macro is a HUGE weakness for Savior to deal with it. So lets see how Nada does it, I'm sure he watched these games. Until then stop the bullshit. | ||

looks like i completely underestimated iris, heh i just watched the vod from sc2 (ilovecats you are amazing) and i have to say it again - games like these are the reason i watch professional games. they take their play outside of a conceivable level for me, and it's fucking amazing to watch. i'm never skipping out early on a semifinal again! | ||

god i cant believe how close that game 5 was, puts the arkanoid game between savior and nada from superfight to shame and what was with that build from savior, it did absolutetly nothing, and oponnent even went 14 cc! one thing i noticed about savior, he's not so good with preparing specialized builds but he's awesome when he needs to pull himself out of the shit those builds have gotten him into | ||
