Why are so many people saying that nada would have won?! Because he fucked up a LOT of drops without scanning for lurkers. and I'm pretty sure nada would of scouted that expo on bottom left

"other terrans" wouldn't have been even able to put savior in that position in the first place. Last they met on Arkanoid, once Savior had swarm + plague + hydras, he beat up Nada. Iris kept the pressure on the entire game, killed a ton of workers, tech buildings, expansions, etc. Nada never even got this far. Like Iris, Nada also lost because he didn't spot savior's expansion at 7.

Well I didn't watch today's games (T_T) but the reason Nada lost to Savior during that other game was *because* he missed an expo at 7, too. :o

that was definetely the best game Ive seen in a long long time
|
Iris scanned 7 oclock before (maybe like right before) savior put up and expo there. Its understandable that he didnt think to scan 7 again when so much shit was going on and the minimap shows a blank.
The 2 dropships that dropped scvs were quite funny and anticlamatic lol. I was like OOOO SHHIT HIS GONA KILL IT~~~ then like 15 scvs come out lol.

But Iris had a lot of dropships and Savior's main was basically destroyed. his only chance to survive was having an expo and by the time iris found out it was too late. I think the circumstances were a bit different.

yeah but what nada did was run around the middle of the map and wait until savior regained his strength because he was afraid to drop... iris knew that he would have to seal the game until his 3rd base ran out of money which was soon enough... when you are attacking from all directions just like iris did, those things happen. He didn't blow it.

GoBOXERgogo is way too harsh on iris i dont see how any other terran could've done any better.

I am too criticle. It just annoys me some very good build orders from iris, and now all of a suddon people put up him in the TvZ class of the true elites. He isn't. At least not yet
|
the scv drop was like a scene in a good movie. the tension builds up and you go "wtf, if this expansion goes down savior is done for, omg, omg!". then the scvs come out and you go ">________<??!"
what a great scene :p

not only build orders win games though you know this isn't mirror matchup iris followed up with his build orders very very well and as hot_bid has said in the other thread we're posting in, iris did push savior harder than ever and played a very very aggressive game, while attacing with this main army, dropping dropships everywhere, spread 2 groups of marines one to expo one to main etc
|
My last post here as I'm probably coming off as a total fucktard. I do think he can someday be a TvZ elite, especially with savior on his team. I just don't think he's there yet. I think he sort of goes into auto-pilot mode at certain points in the game and isn't thinking too deeply (as you will see in game 3 when he just moves his MM to the most obvious points where savior will have lurks).

hmm.. so no one is going to answer what happend with those 2 marines behind minerals?
My guess is that Iris shift clicked on the mineral patch until waypoint is full. But then... i duno how long that would make the marines stay still. And I duno how those 2 marines lived in the first place. I swear i thought i was trippin when i saw it. It seemed like some replay bug.

At the very least we can say Iris isn't a total TvZ punching bag that justifies 600+: 35 on liquibet

haha how often do you even shift click in a real game though O_o i still have no idea why those marines didnt attack. and why savior forgot to kill the last 2 marines lol

yea it seems unlikely that anyone would bother to do that.... but I cant think of any other way for marines to not fire.
EDIT: Hmm im confusing the two threads lol. I should sleep now ;;

I've said it many times that Iris doesn't suck at tvz (big lol @ Fakesteve's post in that thread btw) but nevertheless those who watch a couple of games (iris vs keke) and then conclude iris's tvz = shit while completely ignoring his last 30 games worth of results wouldn't agree.
I was called "clueless" for thinking that Iris had a good chance to beat Zergman, but well, aside from ChoJJa who's the only player to have ever managed to beat Savior in a bo5 (2x actually), Iris today becomes the player to have come the closest to beating Savior in a bo5, ever. Neither Midas, Hwasin, Oov, Nada, or Boxer, has come this close to besting Savior in a bo5 series.
Iris is as a consistent player as it can get, perhaps the most consistent T of all time.
