Park: This is just the beginning of GoRush and BoxeR's domination of TL Tournaments.
Q. Two players from your team made it into the finals.
A. Yes, I'm very proud of my players. The atmosphere since the finalists were decided has both energetic and very tense.
Q. Tense?
A. A teamkill in a tournament is always difficult on the team and having it happen in the finals is hard on the players. Both players are of course excited, but where they usually prepare builds with each other it's led to them both separating the room almost. BoxeR has gone to his corner with our zergs, Hyuk and s2 to prepare and over the other side of the room you have GoRush sitting with FanTaSy and iloveoov.
Q. Your thoughts on BoxeR?
A. BoxeR has proven himself to be a strong contender throughout the BOSL and STPL so far. I'm confident in his TvZ ability and believe that through preperation he'll be able to show exciting games for his fans. He's shown strong standard play up until this point so it wouldn't surprise me if we saw him do and try something different to mix things up.
Q. Your thoughts on GoRush?
A. As far as I'm concerned GoRush has shown he has the spirit to win the tournament. In the team house him and BoxeR are very close friends and respect each others ability, but in the game GoRush is the sort of player who'll do anything to win. He forced his way into the finals via his aggressive plays and I feel those are the kinds of tools he'll use against his teammate.
Q. What are your thoughts on the STPL and BOSL?
A. I was a little apprehensive at first, but I believe FeSPA have done a decent job organising everything. Sadly Offgamenet have had a few issues on the broadcasts, but I believe as time progresses they'll become fewer and farer between and the situation will improve. I hope more people on Teamliquid will consider signing up and playing as more players for the teams and more teams active is better for not only the tournaments, but also the community as well. Long live Broodwar!
Q. Moving away from BOSL to STPL, SKT haven't been doing so well.
A. We are currently 0-2 in Round 1 and went 1-2 in the Preseason. I believe we have much room to improve and I hope the fans keep supporting us as our goal is to show them entertaining games. Please continue to support our players and don't count us out just yet. There's still plenty of time for SKT to fight back (laughs).
Q. What are SKTelecom T1s plans moving forward?
A. Of course I can't go into too much detail as to not give our opponents too much information. I can however say that our players are working hard to improve and practice hard for our upcoming matches. We've recently picked up another Protoss player who will debut in the showmatch against Samsung KHAN next week.
Q. So Woongjin Stars have been disqualified from Round 1 of the STPL.
A. I had heard rumours of their inactivity before week 2 when they were unable to send in a lineup to face us. It's not an ideal situation for them or their players, but I hope they'll be able to pick up some new players before Round 2 and come back fighting. While I have to support my own team, I'm secretly rooting for Stars to make their return.
Q. Any final thoughts?
A. BoxeR and GoRush are both remarkable players. Although this is the first solo tournament finals for FeSPA I believe my players are going to make it a memorable one. Whatever the outcome I'm incredibly proud of both of my players for making it into the finals and want to say thank you for all the other participants for taking part and making it a fun tournament!
