No boot camp is hell. After that, you they give you a job with regular hours (after perhaps some AT). Off hours you can do whatever. When my friend was in service. He worked as a repair technician for electronics. He said he didnt really do anything, because whenever some equipment came into the shop he would just stamp it with a NRATS(Not repairable at this station) stamp and send it to some other base. After a hard days work, he would go home and play some MMORPG Asherons Call all night long. One weekend every 2 months or so, they will drag him out into the wilderness for some war game but other than that, its pretty much normal job after boot camp. Except of course you don't have the freedom to just quit. There are three other people I know in the service currently, their stories are similar.

Anyway I really want to see the Army team entering Proleague and raising money for new airforce, they could be the strongest team when they can just "purchase" anyone they want for free!

As far as I know, these people still have to go through regular army stuff. They only get to play SC after their day (exactly same as everyone else) is done, after dinner, if I remember correctly. Trust me, they won't make it that easy for pro gamers. Even Boxer. Ever wonder why pro gamers are still reluctant to go to the army?

Remember that Boxer did have to go through standard basic training, we aren't hearing anything about how glamorous that was. Not only is he in the airforce right now but he obviously has a special assignment. I'm not saying it's wrong for Boxer to take advantage of this opportunity, but it's something he got through talent and luck. There are definitely stories out there of people mutilating themselves or getting a lot of tatoos or something, anything, to get out of the Korean army. Boxer is absolutely not in that situation. And I'm not sure how many western styled militaries (if any) create that kind of situation for the people in them.

Edit: What I'm "getting at" is that the korean military isn't unique in fostering an "I dun wanna join da army" atmosphere in the general populace Maybe I misinterpreted Dominion's post, but I assumed "that kind of situation" referred to the negative one, not boxer's.

You're not articulating your argument very well. In any case, the "situations regarding their enlistment" have nothing to do with the actions of those attempting to avoid being enlisted. My only point was that people in western societies will mutilate themselves and more to avoid mandatory military service. Which is true.
