and Afreeca streamers talking about Jaedong are the source, so yea take what you will from it. Usually they're pretty good about what they say.

If both haven't practiced for a somewhat equal amount of time, I think stork has the upper hand. But given the rumours that Jaedong practices on fish under secret accs, and if true, perhaps Jaedong is the sure win here

I agree that Nathanias was pretty clueless at the time of the JD ForGG match, but ever since Nathanias tuned in to the SSL9 finals (he was in the Twitch chat during Sayle's cast), I got the impression that he at least developed some interest in Brood War and looked more into it. I certainly wouldn't count him out if he gets his knowledge base higher.

To be totally transparent, if you were watching live I made sure to say several times I never followed pro BW. I only cast the match because I was the main English stream for the whole SC2 event as well. I don't claim to have any understanding of pro BW even though I began playing in 2004 it was never melee games only customs. I couldn't tell you a single build order for any race

of course I watch some bw stuff these days if it's on, but otherwise I didn't get into esports until sc2 and that's my primary focus

Yeah, it doesn't help that the BW Terran players are not doing too well either these days. ex-STX SouLs Modesty is just killing Terrans left right and center with his godly 77% winrate in ZvT with his new Guardian/Devourer meta :p

looking at fish ranks now, ranks 60~16 are B 15~5 are A and 4~1 is S :o so you were right on the money on 60 lol

The closest comparison is top 50 grand master korean server ~~and that number might be top 10.~~

People who're descent in ICCup (C ish) is equivalent to a D ranked fish player (if not an F ranked one, I haven't laddered at all on fish so I might very well be wrong).

It was so bad that if I didn't know who they were, I would have assumed they were some bad foreigners. In fact, apart from name value, games between high level foreigners are better and more entertaining than fOrGG vs Jaedong was.

Then its better to stick only to sc2, instead of making bw looks ugly and silly. JD vs forgg was complete failure, so bad that i didnt want to watch it and i skipped to the end to see who wins. I think people who organise this should be ashamed as well as the players if they play so bad. Its like group of big names former musicians who didnt touched their instruments in years and they come up on big stage in front of crowd exepting some good show. But instead all they get is just bad performance with bunch of false notes, unsynched rhytm and vocalist who cant remember his own lyrics, it could be really a show, but very pathetic since people on the stage was used to be glorious back in the day.
