This is a great interview video. Thank you. How has Jaedong been doing in SC2 nowadays? I've stopped watching sc2 completely :/

This is the best JD interview I've ever seen on TL. Really good work. Jaedong is a guy I would really have loved to know personally.
"To all eSports fans, I want to be remembered as a progamer who can make something out of nothing, and someone who always does his best. I think that is the right way of living, and I'm always doing my best to follow that." - Jaedong. /watch?v=jfghAzJqAp0

He's doing much better than he first started although he got eliminated in WCS AM Premier RO16(or 32?) which was surprising to say the least. I'm sure he'll be back stronger than ever

Practice is practice. Bisu used to get in that ass in Proleague matches

30-10 in Winners League and 36-5 in regular proleague in 10-11(Stats are of the top of my head). SC2 fans don't know what real consistency is.

Thorin you are an excellent interviewer and you find some really interesting questions and historical links to go back on and discuss.

Yeah, the practice results are actually pretty weird cause from interviews, it basically seems like JD never lost there but then would lose the broadcasted game.

Bisu=When I play against Jaedong, I have good luck for some reason. I sometimes think 'if everything worked out as well as when I play Jaedong, I would never lose.' I seriously have no idea why.
Jaedong=On the contrary, nothing works for some odd reason when I play against Bisu. My strategies get deflected and I can't even manage my own units. I often feel like I'm under a spell (laughs).
Bisu=But I know that Jaedong is really good. I have a secret that nobody else knows.
JD=Secret? What secret?
Bisu=I said it's a secret (laughs).

DES=It's the 3-year anniversary edition interview. Say it.

Bisu=Recently I was playing on a server where a lot of progamers frequent, and I went 0-10 against this one player. I thought he was really good and guessed it was either Jaedong or (Z)ZerO. I just couldn't beat him. He was too good. I thought that if this isn't Jaedong or Zero, our team must sign him immediately. I kept asking him who he was, but he wouldn't say. I was really curious, but then Alone came and said 'This is Jaedong's smurf account.' I was once again reminded of Jaedong's greatness.
JD=I had no idea that was you (laughs). But more importantly, I'm going to have a word with Alone for leaking such secrets (laughs).
Bisu=From that day on, I knew Jaedong was really good. I really couldn't think of a way to beat him at the time.
JD=You embarrass me. Why can't you lose to me like that in broadcasted matches (laughs).
Bisu=I get a surge of confidence when I know I'm playing against Jaedong for some reason (laughs).

As of now, Jaedong is slightly ahead on head to head score. When we asked if things were any different during practice, “I lost all the games” Bisu remarked stiffly. Jaedong laughed awkwardly and mentioned that he thinks he may have lost some of them. It seems Bisu remembers the encounter during practice more clearly.

There are more examples too but dont feel like digging them up atm ie where Bisu says JD did dumb allins and lost but then when JD played macro games after, Bisu kept losing. I think Zimp even uploaded 2 of those practice games because it referenced Circuit Breaker.

So, applying the above, JD would prob win if they ever met on Afreeca as it's more of a relaxed practice atmosphere (but I dont ever see JD going that route for a variety of reasons so it's moot) but would lose in stuff like SSL.

He's one of the best, although not QUITE at his level of BW dominance. He's probably a top-10 player, although he has a knack for losing upset matches against Protoss 2-base all-ins and some Thor-heavy Terran styles. Very flashy player though, pardon the pun, as he shows up in highlight reels more or less every edition.

I dunno, JD has made it pretty clear in interviews that he has been looking ahead to a life beyond gaming for a while now ie looking for a woman that matches his maturity to marry and also the following

TG=Unfortunately there is not much time left. Now I am really glad that our time is up (laughs). For this last part, please tell your fans about your dreams.

JD=It's a secret (laughs). I'm just kidding. A long time ago, somebody asked me what I would do with a million dollars. I didn't know what to say back then but now I think I can answer that question. I would like to buy my parents a house with a nice view. Then, I would like to buy a house for my future wife and me (laughs). My dreams aren't grandiose and magnificent; I have a lot of aspirations for my progaming career, but if I look at the big picture, my ultimate goal is to have a loving family and live happily ever after. I am just doing my best to achieve that dream at each and every given moment.

This is also why he has been so motivated in sc2 too as he earns the money needed to realize his dreams and gets to travel the world while meeting his fans. (can't do this on afreeca)

Jaedong and Bisu did play a best of 5 series in the GOMTV Averatec-Intel Classic Season 2 Special Match, and Jaedong won 3-2. Additionally, Jaedong typically does exceptionally well in best of series, and in tournament situations, and adapts well to various adverse situations (e.g. unexpected situations, being down - in best of series), and has an unparalleled will to win. Bisu does not (it's been mentioned before, Bisu is very successful when he can prepare for a specific situation, but in a best of series, on a variety of different maps, in a variety of different situations, he will be significantly less successful - also he has exceptional fundamental mechanics, but his understanding of the game(e.g. build order strategy/development) is relatively poor compared to players like Stork, Best, Jaedong etc. (mentioned in interviews)). Additionally, Bisu typically has problems against players like Shine, in individual leagues, and going 3-2 against Larva B teamer in SSL? A poor indicator. Based on the above, Jaedong would be favored in both practice and individual leagues.
