We were fully intending to buy Draco at one moment until Mani told us this was in his player profile:

Can Play:
M-F 2:30PM - 5:00PM CET
Cannot Play:
M-F 12AM - 2:30PM & 5PM - 12AM CET

Which is quite ridiculous. If he actually holds himself to this schedule I doubt he is much use to any team. Out of all those guys who have school and work, his life is based around StarCraft but he can't find more than 2 and a half hours to play? Anyway I think by the time it was our turn again Draco was gone already. And if he wasn't it was because we didn't want to pick him anymore.

oh ok

LX is a great player and better than a huge number of the people we could have bought, so he was definitely worth his minerals.

I think we should have gone for the best players (that we thought we could afford) first rather than trying to save minerals for the end, but we ended up with an ok team.

nazgul, so you mean first you got to chose 6th place, and the next round you also got to chose 6th?

I thought it was 1-8 8-1 1-8 8-1 etc... and then you would be able to get both kosiro and siz)o.ov
According to Reach, he is the fastest learner he has ever seen. He start bw only like 2/3 years ago. Infact, his bw history knowledge is so limited, he didn't even know what the map Guillotine was.

they were going to pick kosiro and o.ov 1st and 3rd rounds, taking siz)fantasy in the 2nd round. they were 6th in both 1st and 3rd rounds, and pgr21 took kosiro/o.ov 5th in those rounds.

It did go 1-8, 8-1, etc.
It's true that o.ov could have been picked up in the second round but siz)fantasy was chosen instead. former progamer I believe? Even pgr chose a terran(polaris) and picked up o.ov later on. It's amazing how he lasted so long in the draft.

edit
very slow lol

So is there some sort of penalty for people who got free players for over spending? I mean, they should just get auto losses if they can't fill a spot.

Just checked, so some people had to buy people that cost less then Selector and reps.ru got him for free. gay

pgr21's totally got this. gg.net is probably going to end up as a nonfactor, and I think the rest of the teams will take games on pgr21 but will not beat it.

Im sure its not his schedule but his team's practice schedule.

So, basically, the way I get this:

TeamLiquid - Progamers and outsiders
GosuGamers.net - European power
SCLegacy - Americans with backup
Fighterforum - The odd choices: the girl, the expensive Draco, the semi-retired CrayOn, the cheap Quirion and the inactive Ovvi
ygclan - Mediocre with a flavour of top
broodwar.de - Good Korea with a bit of Europe
reps.ru - The Koreans and the weak
I am not sure what to say

The amount of koreans in this makes a nice balance actually. It makes relatively weak teams that would have been steam rolled into formidable solid opponents. This is the first event i've seen in a while where it is nearly impossible to predict a winner with great accuracy.

at first i wasn't so sure about tl.net's picks but nazgul's explanations helped a lot =O

we have an OK team (especially for picking 6th)

I don't really see us winning unless like ret/fisheye turn active (which they have ample time to do)

oh and pgr21 have a stacked team
